Surving 3 bloodlusts: Quora, Katrelba and Grum Flameblade with beginner cards

Hey guys, I am normally excited to share about my battles, but today, I’m super pumped because I pulled off somethings I normally consider almost impossible.

In my 3 most recent battles, I survived almighty Quora, a Katrelba, and Grum Flameblade with nothing but beginner cards. Of course, this was not in one battle. Hell, I’m not sure I would survive a battle with two bloodlusts. If I survived all these stupidly powerful cards in one battle with just beginner cards, the title of my post probably would've been "Surving the impossible". Lol. I do believe the rulesets of each the battles helped a lot though, but that is besides the point.

Because of how epic these battles were, I’m confused which battle to write this post based on. Knowing my love and hate for Quora, I think her battle will be the winner of this one.
Anyways, without wasting much time, let’s see the battle this post is actually about:)

Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners

Strategy and Lineup

Because of the ruleset of the battle, I needed to adopt a strategy where every attack counted. So I decided to adopt a magic-centred attack strategy. I saw in my opponents previous line ups that he was fond of using the Quora Strategy, so I had to employ a monster that would reduce Quora’s invisibility and make her a bit more vulnerable to attacks.

Line Up

summoner123456

I chose Obsidian as my summoner because I adopted a magic strategy for this battle. Beucause I noticed my opponent uses the Quora Strategy a lot, I wanted to avoid melee and ranged attacks because those will just kill of the martyrs and trigger Quora sooner. That was the last thing I wanted.

I put Grimbardun Fighter in position one because I noticed my opponent had a habit of using Ranged Attack monsters and putting a Melee monster first. Grimbardun Fighter’s shield would come in real handy by totally evading the ranged attacks, and reducing the impact of the melee tank. I also put him there because of his high melee attack.

In second position, I had Lurking Puffer because it had a considrerable health and also because it had no attack. I used this no attack to my advantage by placing it next to Moxian Rebel which was in third position due to it’s weapon training ability. I employed the same principle to Ulundin Overseer.

In fourth place, I put Venari Spellsmith for his Dispel ability, because I saw Quora was used very frequently in my opponent’s lineup. My best shot at surviving Quora is by dispelling all the gained buffs from both the martyrs and her own bloodlust.

All the way at the back of the line up, I put Ujurak Mystic I put him there for two reasons: one, was to absorb as much damage as possible, protecting Venari Spellsmith long enough until Quora was his target and he had dispelled all her buffs. An armor stat of 2 and 3 health meant he’d hold up for a bit before going down. Second, was also still for protection of Venari Spellsmith thanks to his lookout ability.

The Battle

Summoner buffs took effect and battle began! My team was outmatched speed-wise, but luckily, I had a lot of magic monsters whose attacks would make up for the lack of speed

Round 1

At the start of this round, I was somewhat worried that Grimbardum Fighter ight face a wall because of Djinn Chwala's thorns + heavy armor. But as the round progressed, my magic monsters did a great job taking it out early and saving my tank the trouble. At this point, no monster on my team except for my tank experienced any damage.

Round 2

At the start of round 2, Fungus Flinger moved to my opponent's tank and was ultimately killed, moving a buffed Quora to the front. Considering the ruleset applied to the game was Healed Out, Quora took some serious sustained damage. But as expected, she messed my tank up pretty bad, leaving him on literally his last life.

Round 3

Quora striked first in this round, killing my tank, and moving Lurking Puffer to first position. It was a very pleasant coincidence that the blow that finally took out Lurking Puffer was not from Quora, but from Venari Marksrat, robbing Quora of a chance to buff up once more. Lol I thanked my stars. Again, thankfully, being in first position also made her the perfect target for Venari Spellsmith's dispel, ridding her of all the buffs that made her invisible. The absence of sneak or opportunity mosnsters on my team also helped me dodge a bullet of killing Vernari Marksrat, buffing Quora up. As you might've guessed, I took Quora out with a magic blast, and sent Venari Marksrat following shortly after her. With Quora gone, that only gave the buff to Venari Knifer, who honestly, was not a threat at all to me at that point.

Round 4

Venari Spellsmith again rid this buffed up tank of her gains, making her even less of a concern than she already was, and I took her out eventually, winning the battle with 4 monsters still standing on my team.

I believe in addition to my strategy, the healed out strategy helped me a lot in taking Quora out. Because imagine if I had to deal with the Quora that heals herself up. Yeah notsomething I'd wish on my enemy.
