Another Week Of Grinding Up My Foundation Cards

It is not like I have plenty of time to play Splinterlands, but it is more on how I like to play this game. I play this game regularly everyweeks, but on day to day based, sometime ometime I could only get less than half an hour and those time were just to play some rank battles or to finish brawls.

Due to that reason, my soulbound cards are not great and my foundation cards are too. They are not bad, but they are not great. I am a bit left behind from my friends who are peer players.

So what should I do? Well I just have fun playing Splinterlands, and if there are opportunities, I will try to maximize it. Same as today, I might not have time to play a lot, but I use it to level up my foundation cards.

I have checked my stash and it looks like I already accumulate 14 foundation packs. Last time I made a post about it, I was opening 14 foundation packs too, so maybe it's time to open them up again and level up my cards.

However before I do that, there is one thing I need to do first...

That this is buying Alchemy Potion. I only have 8 of them, I am running out of them due to getting some reward cards. So today I am buying 500 of Alchemy Potions to get some extra potions.

My suggestion here is that never buy potion below 500, you won't get a bonus there. It is important to keep getting bonus, although it is small, in long run it will build up to a big value.

I used 70 Legendary potions and 70 Alchemy potions, which meant that I got 70 cards here. I would not share them all, only the Gold Foil that would be shown here below.

From those 70 cards, I only get 3 Gold Foil cards here. 2 of them are common cards, Grand Consul Minion and Kanaaq Miner. Sadly both are not my favorite. the first one is a rare rarity card, Time Bandit. This one is good, I often use him too in the rank battle. So it is a good deal for me.

So let see my foundation cards stash now, starting from the summoners list.

From 5 available summoners, only three of them are on level 2. The other two are on the beginner stage, however I could level up one of them now.

My Thalgrimore reaches level 2, I think I have became more competitive now. I am considering to buy some gold foil for foundation card summoners, because It will allow me to have them into the brawls. However it is still a consideration, not a well planned yet.

Currently I have 10 cards of Gold Foil foundation units. I am not quite fond of talking the regular foil, regarding the summoners haven't leveled up at all. I upgraded a death summoner, Thalgrimore, but all my death element units are already above the summoner limit.

So let's see the gold foil only, because I could bring them into the brawl. None of them reach significant level, except the Dread Tafarian which is already on max level. I bought it a few days ago, because it was helpful during brawls.

I level up my Mad Gearhead now. He reaches level 4, and he need one more level to hit the max level cap. This card is not something great, it is very strong on foundation mode battles, but not on brawls and rank battles. We have many substitutes for him.

The second one I level up is this Grand Consul Minion. Now he is on level 4. I think this is a good level up, because he has 3 health points. Before with 2 health points, he often dies after getting a hit. However same case as Mad Gearhead, Grand Consul Minion is only helpful in Foundation mode only.

Well the end result is not great, however I still believe that what I get today is a good level up. I already play stable on the Gold League Foundation Mode, and maybe after two to three weeks from now, I could open more packs and we can see how it will go again.

And for you who just begin playing Splinterlands, foundation cards are very important. It helps you understand the basic mechanism of the battle, how cards fight, which will be great and which one will be bad, and many more. Don't underestimate or skip this mode.
