Hello, Good Evening guys

Welcome back to my second weekly Splinterlands BATTLE MAGE SECRETS challenge. Today we have REVERSE SPEED ruleset as our main theme.

REVERSE SPEED, as its named like that, the speed order is reversed. Units with low speeds will attack first before the units which have higher speeds. It's not only the order, the accuracy or the evasive probability will also be reversed.

We already discuss most of this in my previous posts a few hours ago.

1. No slow
2. No Swiftness
3. Meta comes first above speed.

So what else we can think of now? Simple, don't get too stiff or too textbooked!!!

THE BATTLE

This was a Modern Gold league rank battle, and I was using BLACKRRSANTAN, a scholarship account from bulldog1205 the famous streamer. I used this account mostly to play Brawl for JUICE GUILD.

Let's get back to the main business, here were the rulesets we got:

This was a no brainer condition, with only Fire or Death, definitely we should go with death because Thaddius Brood was there. Expect to have Thaddius vs Thaddius battle here

• The battle started with both of us buffing up our team and debuffing our opponents.
• My opponent came with 5 magic damage per round.
• My team had 8 magic damage per round.
• Something felt off here, I thought my opponent underestimated me because he had that Usut.

• Without armor due to Unprotected ruleset, Djinn Muirat lost his superiority from his Void armor ability... They paid the price by losing their Djinn Muirat in the first round.
• 5 vs 3, its definitely looked bad on their side

• The third round started with 4 vs 2 condition. It's really hard for them to catch up

• and they lost all in this round

CLOSURE AND DISCUSSION

They came with USUT, one of the strongest souldbound card especially during REVERSE SPEED ruleset.

So what did go wrong with them, which ended up I won the battle with less flashy units? Let check a few points below.

1. They came with a straight textbook lineup. Reflection shield to kill opponent by reflecting the damage. Slow units, and double tank for a backup. A very straight forward which was easily countered by having 2 life leech units.
2. Sometime you needed to think alternative of making a good meta and good lineup using lame or less attractive units. If he ditched his magi necrosi, replacing with other units, things might went better.

Venari Speelsmith is one of those units who looks lame but can perform greatly in certain ruleset. He definitely does not fit with Reverse Speed rulesets, however with Wands Out (mages only) and a combination with some Magic Reflect ability holders, he will perform great.
