Here we go again,

First of all, welcome to my Battle Mage Secret challenge and as for today we still have this GOING THE DISTANCE ruleset. As we all know, this ruleset makes only range units or archers available for selection. So forget melee and magic units, unless it has double type attacks which one of it is range attack.

This ruleset is about range attackers, the archers. Only units with range attack that can enter, no melee and magic only attacker. So the most favorite thing is to go with a line up which has a close range ability users or a double type attack so you still can launch melee and magic damage whenever a unit is placed on the main thank position.

However what would you do If you bump on a f-tap ruleset? here for example:

This was the ruleset, quite a headache right? You need archers but archer will die from the return fire ability... So what should I do? OK let's check our battle now

12 mana cap battle, with Going the distance ruleset. The worst part is we only have that water element available for the selection. You need a close range ability user, only wave brood would be the option... single unit, should we go with that?

Sometime when shit things like this happen, going with more units would be a simple good alternative. you might end up with some lousy line up but that should be ok because they will work better than a messed up f-tap line.

THE BATTLE

Ok here we go guys, a silly water vs water battle. This is a Diamond League Wild Format battle, as you can see my opponent had a full silver level units, meanwhile I was coming in bad way.... Honestly I forgot to renew my Keyla Frendul summoner cards, so like it or not, I had to use level 1 summoner.

My opponent came with a simple formation, one for tank and one for damage dealer. I came with the numbers, the more the merrier... 3 units, all were half assed one.

Let see how this would go then...

• The battle started with both of us buffing up our team and debuffing our opponents. It's Kelya vs Kelya, so the buff is the same
• My opponent came with 2 range damage only.
• My team had 2 range damage per round too.
• It's 2 vs 3, I tried to win by having more units

• Round two started with the same condition, this was due to the holy protection ruleset.

• It's a race of who died first, their Merdhampir or my Venari Marksrat.

• they won the first race, my marksrat died first. However I would win this battle

• Good Game, they could not fight anymore.

CLOSURE AND DISCUSSION

How I won this battle was very simple, I just went with more units I could keep on my line up. Why does this approach matters?

1. Range units could not attack on the main tank position, so whoever sits there, would be an idle units. Having more means you could attack more and having more idle tank.
2. On small mana cap battles, there aren't many much option to pick. Having less units for big strong units works well if they are melee units or magic units... For range, its a big no. People might get trapped by having their best units set on the first position and could not attack anymore.
