My New Record of 200K Glint and What I Have Learnt In The Last 2 Seasons Struggling in Diamond League

Here we go guys, the start of a new season. The first hour will be a mess up, a tornado one, because this is the most important time to be quick and prompt in selecting units for the rest of season. Either we get good cards at good price or we get bad cards at good price, or double bad things... This is the time to decide it lol
Honestly I get the bad ones. I had a deadline to finish, even today was Sunday but I had no excuse. Luckily it would not end as the worst, maybe still decent lah. So I still have some hype left to tell you what happened in the last season.

Last season could be considered one of my best seasons. I got 217.286 Glints at the end of the season, this number was the highest ever I have got in my Splinterlands time. So I had no reason not to be hyped about this result.
My survival mode was great too, I challenged myself to a new league, the tier III and I managed to be in the top 20. The result were extra 30.000 Glints, 25 fortune entries and one ascension token.

I got another 2 copies of Darkguard Hellion again. Too bad I haven't got enough copies to upgrade this card, even I know this card doesn't fit my style of play. But still, it is a free cards, and I love freebies. So I welcome the arrival of this card with a wide open arm lol.
THE SPS
A great season always come with a great SPS rewards too. My seasonal Battle rewards was the highest I have ever had for years!

2.270 SPS and majority of it, which was 2.083 SPS came from the ranked battles. I wonder if I should convert 2000 SPS to DEC, it would be 33.000 DEC and with this amount I could add some more cards that could help improving my seasonal performance.
Too bad my brawls earning keeps dropping, due to many reasons. I do not want to point my finger on anyone for this part, its a team result so I have my part whether for good or for bad.
WHAT I CAN SHARE ABOUT PLAYING IN DIAMOND LEAGUE
After two season struggling in Diamond league, I can say I have three points that I could share to other casual players who want to challenge themselves trying to exist in Diamond league with a non maxi line up. I hope these three points could help you understand what it takes and what you need to prepare to be in Diamond League with a decent result.
1. You Need To have Atleast 2 Legendary Summoners
I dare to say that if you play with silver league level units or maybe a combination of Silver to Gold league level units, you have to have at least 2 Legendary summoners. One is up for your choice, and another one is the dragon summoner. Ideally, you need to have three, but let's talk about the bare minimum first, because that is what matters most.

The ideal summoner you need to have is this Nidhoggr, which I believe for the current modern format, he is the strongest dragon summoner. This season I do not have him, so I am pretty much sure it will be the worst Diamond League performance I have ever had due to the low win rate I will have later.
However these Legendary Summoners are not about win percentage...

The legendary summoners are needed to win, it is a necessity, something we need to have in order to be able to win the battle. As you can see above, at a glance it looks like I am winning because I am spamming Nidhoggr. However look at my opponents, they all used Legendary summoners too and I would not win at all if I just use common or rare rarity summoners.
So you need to have this must-win mentality, that you have to use Legendary Summoner to win. Do not come with good line up, come with a great line up. You need to do this to win, not to increase win rate.
2. You Need To Rent SPS
The second one is about having a rented SPS. I assume no big investor or whale reading this post, so everyone are casual players or a very competitive players with a limited fund invested in this game.
When you reach Diamond League you need to have at least 250.000 staked SPS, and if you are not, you need to rent them A.S.A.P. It is very different for Silver and Gold league, in Diamond league, a rented SPS at right price (max at 0.002) will definitely give you a worthy impact.

This is an example of my last performance (and you can see all my opponent used legendary summoners lol). In general I got 14 to 18 SPS per win, in average they should be 16 SPS per win. You need to consider I am a gold foil players, so it's a bit higher than others.
I had this result after I rented 200k SPS at 0.002. If I had not rented them, I would only have 50k SPS and it would give me an average of 9 SPS per win. It was a 6 SPS higher per win.

I had 171 wins last season and if we times that with an extra 6 SPS per win, it means I have 1000 extra SPS I got from renting those SPS. My seasonal rank battle rewards was 2000 SPS, easy to say half of them came from the SPS I had rented last season.
The additional gain I had was definitely higher than the cost of renting SPS. You might not be able to do this on Silver and Gold League, but it is almost guaranteed to work for Diamond League and above.
3. You Have To Accept Loses
The last tips I could give is actually the easiest one, and even for myself I have difficulty to accept this. It is to accept our loses.
In Diamond League, some opponents could bring max level line up. Some cards stand on different league when they reach their max level, because they will get abilities that make them more powerful, or extra attributes that makes them stronger.
So even you come with a solid line up, great meta, exploiting the modifiers... you are still can get beaten solely by level differences

Let me show one example here, my opponent came with Nidhoggr at 42 mana cap battle. It was a bad move, because 10 mana for summoner would eat too much mana, and would leave you with a limmited line up. The result was clear 5 vs 6 units, I should be in advantages, right?
Well no, they had all max level units, and each of those could kill my units in one blow. The result was a one sided domination from them, they made a kill for each action they made.
Some battles were like this, hopeless facing off a max level line up. I learnt my way here, not to think much about this.
I think that's all I can share today. I hope you have a great end of season too. Thanks for reading and see you on Splinterlands battle!

Nicely done, too bad you don't have enough copies to upgrade quite yet! To play in diamond you do need legendary summoners and a large amount of rented SPS. Without it it's impossible to earn or get nearly enough EOS glint.
Great job, I'll put out my EOS tomorrow!
