Today I Just Bought Sea Stalker and She Was STRONG!!!

SEA STALKER.png

Hello my fellow splinterlands players, finally I rerun my post here, Today I just bought another Splinterland cards. It's been more than half year since I last post this theme, because I was too salty not to buy any at these time.

However I just bought two rift watchers card and one of them was this Sea Stalker.

Why did I buy Sea Stalker?

Sea Stalker is a very unique card, I can tell she is strong however it's hard to use her or the correct words is the conditions which make her excell are not frequently appear. The sole reason is because The Water Element has too many great cards especially in DAMAGE DEALERS such as Deep Lurker and Kulu Mastermind.

Although that sounds not Ok, I still have some good considerations which make me see her as a great addition to my selection.

  1. Heavy Archer. Although this sound silly, however I believe any big hitter of Mage and Archer will a good arsenal during certain condition. Let say, we have going the distance which demands only range units, the more range units we have ofcourse the better it is. Another case is when we have Keep Your Distance and we have a good feeling we having Immortalis as our opponents, having a good non magic attacks is a must...
  2. Backline Support Attacker. Deep Lurker and Kulu Mastermind are the best in this business, however there are cases where the mana can't house those two, or Melee was not allowed, or You just want to hit opponent backline such as Noa the Just, Nerrisa Tridawn, or others who have high health points which would be least targeted by opportunist.
  3. Cleanse. All cards with Cleanse are welcomed especially during Nuxious Fumes ruleset. I can not tell much about this because I do not play in Gold League, however cleanse while hitting hard sounds very cool!!!

HOW I SEE SEA STALKER IN MY TEAM

I am playing on Bronze-Silver league using this account and I have no intention to have high level Sea Stalker because I do not play on Gold League anymore. I am very salty about Splinterlands in term of investing and making earning, So I prefer telling you guys about the fun part only... buying NFTs and having fun from them. No need to go to the top or buy massively again.

ON THE BRONZE LEAGUE

On Bronze League, I am thinking of these two cards as a good partner for her.

Noa the Just with his rust ability will make all opponent backline become vulnerable to Sea Stalker heavy damage range attack. Deep lurker is a good tandem too, because if the target survives from Sea Stalker attack, Deep Lurker will come in the next turn to finish them.

ON THE SILVER LEAGUE

There are not much changes in Silver League, I still think those two units above as a good team mate for Sea Stalker. However in Silver, we might want to take Kulu Mastermind in, because he is a stronger version of Deepluker and ofcourse with more required mana.

Battle REFERENCE

It's not a Splinterlands post without battle to watch, isn't it?

~click the iamge above to watch full battle~

This was a modern bronze league rank battle, and I think it's a good reference regarding these two conditions:

  1. I managed to bring in the pair I recommended above, the Deep Lurker and Noa The Just. It would be funny if I recommended some cards then used the others, not those cards... making me seemed like a liar 🤣
  2. My opponent was using Yodin Zaku. Yodin in Bronze League with 40 mana cap was something very strong. So beating them would be excellent example.

image.png

  • As always, the battle started with both parties prepared themselves buffing and debuffing on everything.
  • My opponent came with a range focused meta, exploiting YODIN +1 range buff. They had 1 Melee damage and 13 range damage, making a total 14 damage per round. They still had blast ability on all of their units.
  • My team came with 8 Melee damage and 6 range damage, making a total 14 damage per round. We both shared the same fire power, however I did not any blast ability.
  • Due to Speed difference, my team managed to dodge 2 incoming attacks which later I believed became a major decisive point.

image.png

  • Round two started with 6 vs 5 condition. They lost the fiend behind, but that's only a bait.
  • Their Pyromaniac killed my Uraeus using the blast effect.
  • My deeplurker killed their Tinderlock, which had been hit twice by Sea Stalker.

image.png

  • 4 vs 3, my team still had the favor in term of number and the most important thing was the Speed.
  • After withstood Pyromaniac attack, we retaliated by shoving out Tusk The Wide and Ferexia General.

image.png

  • Now things looked ugly on their side, and the winning side seemed to be confirmed.

image.png

  • Good Game. 5 rounds battle.

POINTS TO TAKE FROM THE BATTLE REFERENCE

  1. Uraeus became a flop, small health units were weak against blast damage and that one of the strong point why Yodin Zaku would always be an OP summoner.
  2. Lemell Refugee was strong in Bronze, however this post was not about her so yeah... sorry girl we would not discuss about you in this post.
  3. Speed is something that makes water element feared, and Sea Stalker proves that she can keep up with the standar water speed ✅
  4. Sniping and Opportunity could make a good combination. We could see from the battle, Sea Stalker actually guided Deeplurker where to hit next ✅
  5. Sea Stalker health might be an issue however she survived here so I think it's ok to say health should not be to be worried a lot ✅
  6. Overall I would not win this battle if there was no Sea Stalker here ✅

Ok that's all for the battle. Please leave some comments, opinions and critics on the comment below if you have one.
