Season Rewards and PIZZA Brawl Report!

Good Morning Splinterlanders! Today marks the end of the current season and just so happens to coincide with the end of the current brawl so I thought I would make today's post about Splinterlands!

These are my season rewards for Silver 3... I've been making a point of NOT renting to climb the leagues at the moment so each season I just push up to my max league and continue to build up my deck over time. This way I am not spending DEC on rentals and my collection is powerful enough to earn DEC rewards from chests etc.

I'm pretty underwhelmed with this selection of rewards. Nice to get the gold foil Pelacor Bandit but not exactly amazing. Oh well! On to the next season and hopefully better rewards!

On to the Brawl! Pizza 2 The Deep Dish had a solid performance overall in this brawl! We have been climbing up the results tables consistently and we don't even have our Barracks yet! You can see from the table below we were within striking distance of Splinter Skulls for the number 3 spot!

As far as my own battles... I am less than impressed with my performance here! 2 of these losses involved gladiator cards that I don't have access to just yet, one of them was simply my own foolishness going in to the fight! Still I was not the worst performer in Pizza 2 and feel like I usually hold my own in Silver Untamed Frays with my meager 15k collection power. I'll take the occasional beating that goes along with it until Pizza 2 is ready to fill that fray with a stronger player!

First battle Poison/Explode Ruleset-

This one comes down to my own mistake. I could have fielded a much stronger tank rather than dropping the Scale Doctor on the backline for the health boost. The enemy Gorlodon simply had more health at the end.

Second battle Trample/Lost Magic Ruleset-

I lost simply due to bloodlust on that gladiator card. Not impressed. Without bloodlust I would have won. He armored up and increased damage upon killing the Biceratops which set him up to kill the Gloridax Guardian next round. Without the additional armor each kill and the increase in damage the Guardian would have survived an additional round and the Goblin would have ended it! Gladiator cards are coming for Pizza 2 soon enough so we will have a more even playing field again!

Third battle Silenced Summoners/Trample-

This one I won pretty easily. I had the Diamond Dragon and the Dragon Jumper still on deck at the end. Lobstradamus lasted almost until the very end as well!

Fourth battle Spreading Fury/Explode-

I lost this one badly. The Chain Golem and Captain Katie just tore me apart. Even with the mix of melee and magic damage the Chain Golem just took an absolute beating while I got torn to pieces. Not much I could have done differently with my deck against this setup.

Even with my poor performance I'm happy to see Pizza 2 The Deep Dish continuing to climb the ranks in brawls and get closer to unlocking our level 2 Barracks. It's a little frustrating to see the cost of guild buildings continue to skyrocket- it definitely makes competing with guilds that established themselves earlier much more difficult! But the PIZZA community is always growing and continuing to build strong connections and involve strong players in the games we are playing!
