Self-Discovery: Unearthing a Passion for Farming

The journey to self-discovery is a bold step every individual have to take in order to unfold their passion and purpose for life, finding your true calling sometimes we have to explore so many options, trying new things, building experiences and going deep into our area of interest. My personal experience in self-discovery led me to unfolding my passion for farming, a passion I never discovered before.

My journey to self-discovery started with some much curiosity, some years ago I had to visit my granny in the village and during my little time of staying there I saw myself drawn to nature, I was passionate about spending time with her in the garden caring for plant, while learning on how to grow and sustain some of the common crops we do eat every day. Was during this period that I realized I had a natural love for plants.

But then I just knew I have the love for farming but didn’t have any experience I decided to always travel more often to the village, summiting myself to learning. This time I was so privileged to learn and work alongside with my granny, learning the basics of farming and understand the significant of each farming seasons. It was this little dedication that provided me with the necessary information about farming and its scope.
My passion unearthed, as I continued visiting my granny and putting the lesson learnt to practice, I started using the seedbed method to plant some vegetables I began to see this inner joy flowing from my inside , I have never been that satisfied and proud of myself in my previous pursuit, I felt fulfill and happy. The love and connection to the nature and my passion for caring for plant, the result from my little seedbed garden spoke something meaningful to my soul then I realized that it’s want just a mere interest but a passion.
From there I stared reading books about farming even when it was not what I was learning in school I have to do the extra job by reading about farming and how to excel in farming. Download videos ad did more of the practical aspect of farming and today am a proud young farmer. My family and friend are also proud of me because they have benefited from this self-discovery.

Self-discovery is a transforming journey that lead one to unfolding the hidden passion and purpose. Just in my personal story of how I discovered about farming, it was a revelation that brought light to my life and redirected my path. I found my passion and calling for nurturing plant and contributing to the well-being of the enviromement.
