The ruleset for this week's challenge

image.png

  • Aimless - All units have the Scattershot ability

The ruleset that I managed to get

image.png

  • Rulesets - Wands Out & Aimless
  • Mana Cap - 17
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Bortus

  • Because I got Wands Out to my ruleset summoners with +/- magic damage and summoners with abilitys like Void, Void Armor and Magic Reflect were the ones I needed to use to get an advantage
  • In my case as earth wasn't active I settled for Water and luckily I had 3 cost -1 magic damage summoner available
1st Position: Djinn Oshannus

  • Djinn Oshannus was my main tank for this battle
  • Main reason I like Djinn Oshannus here a lot is hes Void ability
  • Void - Reduced damage from magic attacks
2nd Position: Ice Pixie

  • I picked Ice Pixie mostly because I only had 2 mana left
  • But of 2 mana she block at least 1 attack and deal 1 damage per round
  • Flying - This unit has an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from units who do not have the flying ability
3rd Position: Coral Wraith

  • Lovely low mana cost 2 magic damage monster with Sneak
  • For 4 mana you get 2 damage (with Sneak), 2 speed and 2 hp
  • Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit

Starting board

image.png

  • Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would win because my enemy only had 1 magic damage monsters and I had card with Void as my first monster in line
  • That said he does have one card with Recharge which scared me a little (Recharge - This unit attacks every other round but does 3x damage)
  • But I was still optimistic because I had much more damage

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

image.png

  • After 1st Round I was already a monster down which wasn't the best look but I was still hopeful
2nd Round

image.png

  • After 2nd Round my board was starting to look quite sad and honestly it was starting to scare me a little
  • But that said his monsters were quite low already
3rd Round

image.png

  • In the 3rd Round I finally got my first takedown
  • But in this round I also saw that my enemy had Stun which could definitely end really bad for me
4th-8th Round

image.png

  • It took me 4 round to kill my enemies Revealer
  • And now the battle was really close
11th Round

image.png

  • The battle couldn't have been any closer
  • For real it was down to 1hp on both of our monsters but I had the speed
12th Round

image.png

  • Finally the battle was over and I had won it
  • One of the closest battle I have ever had
  • Battle Replay Link

Summary

  • This battle was definitely closer than I would've liked but win is a win and watching it was a long rollercoaster
  • I believe the strategy to take away from this battle is the Void and -1 magic damage combo in Wands Out ruleset
  • If you also would like to hop on the Splinterlands train feel free to use my Referral
