BATTLE MAGE SECRETS ✶ AIMLESS ✶ SECOND GO

The ruleset for this week's challenge

• Aimless - All units have the Scattershot ability

The ruleset that I managed to get

• Rulesets - Even Stevens & Aimless
• Mana Cap - 35
• Active Elements -

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Obsidian

• With this weeks challenge the specific summoner type doesn't really matter to get a significant advantage
• In my case as earth was active so I settled for Obsidian so I can buff my magic damage monsters

1st Position: Mycelic Infantry

• Mycelic Infantry was my main tank for this battle
• Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is hes Shield ability
• Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks

2nd Position: Fungus Fiend

• Just a simple 0 mana cost monster nothing really else to say here

3rd Position: Goblin Thief

• Low mana cost melee monster with Sneak
• For 4 mana you get 3 damage (with Sneak), 4 speed and 4 hp
• Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit

4th Position: Wood Nymph

• Next up in line is this lovely healer card
• Even tho you don't get a lot of stats for 4 mana you do get the Tank Heal ability which I really like
• Tank Heal - Restores a portion of the unit in the first position's health each round

5th Position: Goblin Psychic

• And another healer just cause why not
• Even tho he costs 2 mana more then Wood Nymph you get better stats
• Tank Heal - Restores a portion of the unit in the first position's health each round
• Affliction - When a unit with Affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed

6th Position: Mitica Headhunter

• Mitica Headhunter was my backline tank for this battle
• Also hes has some quite amazing stats being 4 ranged damage, 5 speed and 5 hp
• Alongside the stats is hes Snare ability which I don't really like but whatever
• Snare - When attacking enemies with flying, removes the flying ability and cannot miss

Starting board

• The starting board looked quite even at first glance
• My enemy did go with the full magic team and that was a bit scary because I didn't and he has shields on his monsters
• But the battle could still go either way so let's see

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

• After 1st Round my theory was correct his shields were blocking a lot of my damage while he could just hit my hp directly
• But I was still hopeful you never know who are going to get hit with Aimless active

2nd Round

• After 2nd Round the board was starting to look quite even again but I still needed to get lucky so my healers would stay alive
• At this point the battle was 50/50 and the next round was going to end it once and for all
• So let't see if I am going to win or lose this battle

3rd Round

• In fact the 3rd Round went quite even and the battle was still 50/50 in my opinion
• I just needed to get lucky enough that my last two backline monsters were going to stay alive and kill my enemies backline after that I could outheal my enemies Mycelic Infantry and kill him
• So now let's see if I was lucky enough

4th Round

• Not the worst but definitely not the best outcome
• He managed to get my last ranger monster and I got nothing
• Even tho the battle wasn't over at this point I was quite sure I was about to lose this battle

5th Round

• This was the round which summed up this battle
• Now I just needed to wait for the next round to face my defeat

6th Round

• It took him 1 turn to kill my last standing monster
• After my Mycelic Infantry had fallen I took the defeat

Summary

• This battle was definitely quite close and fun to watch
• The battle came down to him having armor and me not using full magic team like my enemy did
