BATTLE MAGE SECRETS ✶ BACK TO BASICS

The ruleset for this week's challenge

• Back to Basics - Units lose all abilities

The ruleset that I managed to get

• Rulesets - Back to Basics & Briar Patch
• Mana Cap - 48
• Active Elements -

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Thaddius Brood

• With the ruleset combo I got I felt like my enemy might go for a full magic damage comp so I decided to go with -1 magic damage and -1 hp for my summoner
• Also I had quite good team in death element in mind myself

1st Position: Usut

• Usut was my main tank for this battle
• Because Back to Basics was active putting monster with Bloodlust in the first position didn't matter

2nd Position: Djinn Muirat

• Again just a simple high hp magic monster to tank enemy damage
• For 9 mana you get 2 magic damage, 2 speed, 4 armor and 7 hp

3rd Position: Phantom Soldier

• And another high hp magic monster
• For 8 mana you get 2 damage, 3 speed and 8 hp

4th Position: Magi of Chaos

• At this point I was beginning to play bit weaker monsters just because I didn't have any great ones left
• But like the last ones again just a simple magic damage monster

5th Position: Insidious Warlock

• Love this card a lot because of his ability
• Sadly this battle that didn't matter
• But I still played him because he still has some great base stats

6th Position: Magi Necrosi

• And for last but not least is Magi Necrosi
• Again for 6 mana his base stats aren't that bad despite his health which was quite low being just 4

Starting board

• The starting board didn't really say anything other than my summoner pick was definitely better than my enemies
• But that didn't meant that the battle was over already

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

• 1st Round was definitely better for me than for my enemy
• And also I finally figured out that I had 2.5 times more damage than my enemy so the battle should've been secured

2nd Round

• In the 2nd Round I took down another enemy monster
• But sadly so did my enemy
• Despite it I was still one the way of winning this battle

3rd Round

• In the 3rd Round I managed to take down my enemies Djinn Oshannus
• Even tho my Djinn Muirat survived this round with 1 hp he was going to die in the start of the next round without attacking first which was sad

4th Round

• I was short 1 damage to take down my enemies Nerissa Tridawn
• But that was fine because she was about to fall in the 1st turn of round 5

5th Round

• 5th Round was huge for me
• And now I just needed to wait for the next round to take down the last standing enemy monster and win this battle

6th Round

• It wasn't long till the enemies last standing monster was down
• And after hes River Hellondale had fallen I took the victory

Summary

• This battle was definitely quite one sided but still fun to watch
• I believe the battle came down to just a summoner difference
