BATTLE MAGE SECRETS ✶ EVEN STEVENS ✶ SECOND GO

The ruleset for this week's challenge

• Even Stevens - Only units with even mana costs may be used

The ruleset that I managed to get

• Rulesets - Born Again, Even Stevens & Earthquake
• Mana Cap - 27
• Active Elements -

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Brighton Bloom

• With the ruleset that I got best possible summoner was definitely Brighton Bloom to fully counter Earthquake with Flying ability to all monsters

1st Position: Flesh Golem

• Flesh Golem was my main tank for this battle
• Main reason I like Flesh Golem here a lot is his Heal ability
• Heal - Restores a third of the max health to this Unit's health each round

2nd Position: Twilight Basilisk

• In the 2nd position this lovely melee monster with Reach
• For 4 mana you get 2 melee damage (with Reach), 3 speed, 1 armor and 3 hp
• Reach - Melee attack Units with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team

3rd Position: Fungus Fiend

• Nothing really to say here other than why not play him when you have the room for it he costs 0 mana

4th Position: Wood Nymph

• Next up in line is my first healer for this team
• Even tho you don't get a lot of stats for 4 mana you do get the Tank Heal ability which I really like
• Tank Heal - Restores a third of max health to the Unit in the first position each round

5th Position: Goblin Psychic

• And my second healer just cause why not
• Goblin Psychic costs 2 mana more than Wood Nymph but you do get a bit more stats
• Tank Heal - Restores a third of max health to the Unit in the first position each round

6th Position: Naga Assassin

• Naga Assassin was my backline tank for this battle
• For only two mana she has some great backline tank stats like 5 speed and 3 hp

Starting board

• The starting board didn't really say anything other than if my enemies Katrelba Gobson should go on a killing spree the battle might and fast as my backline is not the strongest
• Also I had much better summoner if the battle should go on a bit longer than couple of rounds
• But to find out lets start the battle and have a look

Here's how the battle went

1st & 2nd Round

• After 2nd Round my board was still looking almost as healthy as in the beginning
• Sadly the only monster I had lost fell to my enemies Katrelba Gobson who now had some heavy stats on him
• But the Earthquake was kicking my enemies lineup as all of his monsters are non flying

3rd Round

• After 3rd Round my enemies Katrelba Gobson was still not slowing down but luckily he was going to die for the first time in the start of the 4th round to Earthquake damage
• Even tho the battle wasn't over yet I felt like this one was in the bag

4th Round

• 4th Round was almost total disaster for me but I came in clutch in the end
• Now I was 100% sure I would win this battle

5th Round

• It took me 1 round to kill my enemies last two standing monsters
• After his Katrelba Gobson and Clockwork Aide had fallen I took the victory

Summary

• This battle was definitely closer than I would've liked
• I believe the battle came down to mostly summoner difference
