The ruleset for this week's challenge

  • Explosive Weaponry - All units gain the Blast ability

The ruleset that I managed to get

  • Rulesets - Weak Magic, Maneuvers & Explosive Weaponry
  • Mana Cap - 60

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Immortalis

  • With the ruleset that i got any specific summoner type doesn't really matter
  • So in my case as earth was active I settled for Immortalis as I believe that he is one of the greatest summoners right now for my league
1st Position: Mycelic Infantry

  • Mycelic Infantry was my main tank for this battle
  • Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is his Shield ability
  • Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks
2nd Position: Fungus Flinger

  • Fungus Flinger was in the second position because I was hoping that he would die to Blast damage fast and buff my 1st and 3rd position monsters
  • Martyr - When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats
  • Blind - All enemy Melee & Ranged attacks have a 15% higher chance of missing their target
3rd Position: Grund

  • Grund was going to be my main damage dealer
  • After my Fungus Flinger was dead my Grund would get buffed and also fall to 2nd position were he would be able to attack because of Maneuvers ruleset being active
  • Double Strike - This unit attacks twice each round
4th Position: Mushroom Seer

  • Next up in line is one lovely monster with Silence
  • I played Mushroom Seer here because my summoner already countered magic comps but paired with Mushroom Seer my team was 100% winning every magic team my enemy might craft
  • Silence - Reduces the Magic attack of all enemy Units by1
5th Position: Wood Nymph

  • Next up in line is my first healer for this team
  • Even tho you don't get a lot of stats for 4 mana you do get the Tank Heal ability which I really like
  • Tank Heal - Restores a third of max health to the Unit in the first position each round
6th Position: Goblin Psychic

  • And my second healer just cause why not
  • Goblin Psychic costs 2 mana more than Wood Nymph but you do get a bit more stats and 1 more ability
  • Tank Heal - Restores a third of max health to the Unit in the first position each round
  • Affliction - When this unit hits a target, it has a 50% chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed

Starting board

  • The starting board didn't really say anything other than I almost fully countered my enemies Captain Katie
  • But my enemy still had some strong cards so lets start the battle and have a look how it went

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

  • Nothing really interesting happened in the 1st Round
  • Even tho I got one take down it was onto my enemies monster with Martyr ability so I kind of helped him as my one was still alive and not buffing anyone
2nd Round

  • Second round my Fungus Flinger finally died and buffed of 1st and 3rd position monsters so now the fight was on as I had so much damage
  • And also because of my double healer comp my team was still almost full hp - the Blast damage which I couldn't heal
3rd Round

  • 3rd Round was a total domination on my enemy
  • I managed to take down all 5 monster in one single round
  • After my enemies last 5 standing monsters were fallen I took the victory

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch - the first two rounds :)
  • I believe the battle came down to just me having more damage and also countering his magic portion of the team with my Immortalis and Mushroom Seer combo
