BATTLE MAGE SECRETS ✶ SILENCED SUMMONERS ✶ SECOND GO

The ruleset for this week's challenge

• Silenced Summoners - Summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities

The ruleset that I managed to get

• Rulesets - Silenced Summoners & Odd Ones Out
• Mana Cap - 49
• Active Elements -

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Bortus

• With this weeks challenge the specific summoner type doesn't matter which matters is that the summoner is lowest mana cost possible and highest level possible
• In my case I felt like my best team for Odd Ones Out was with water element so I went with it

1st Position: Torhilo the Frozen

• Torhilo the Frozen was my main tank for this battle
• Main reason I picked Torhilo the Frozen here was hes Void ability and hes tankiness
• Void - Reduced damage from magic attacks

2nd Position: Flying Squid

• Flying Squid was my backup tank and also did great damage with Reach
• Reach - Melee attack units with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team

3rd Position: Nerissa Tridawn

• Next up is Nerissa Tridawn
• Honestly a great card even at level 1
• Even tho she costs 9 mana you get a tankie monster who deals 3 magic damage on top of it

4th Position: Sand Worm

• I am always on the fence about Sand Worm as I feel like he just died too fast to do any damage
• But you just can't not play his huge 5 melee damage with Sneak
• Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit

5th Position: Venari Wavesmith

• I Feel like Venari Wavesmith is quite underrated monster
• At level 2 even tho for 5 mana you don't get a lot of stats you get the Protect ability
• Protect - All friendly units gain +2 Armor
• In my opinion this ability is crazy strong

6th Position: Axemaster

• Even tho her main power spike comes at level 3 I believe that she is still a really good card even at level 1
• The main power comes from the Double Strike ability and great speed
• Double Strike - This unit attacks twice each round
• Venari Wavesmith +2 armor allowed me to play Axemaster in the last position as with this armor she had at least couple rounds in her

Starting board

• After seeing the starting board I was quiet confused as hes monsters layout didn't make any sense to me
• He did get two great damage reductions on my team tho
• But just looking at the board I had no idea if I was going to win or lose

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

• After 1st Round I had managed to take down one of my enemies magic monsters
• But on the other hand my Torhilo the Frozen was getting quite low already

2nd Round

• After 2nd Round my Torhilo the Frozen died but now my enemies tank was quite low and would definitely fall in the beginning of the next round
• Also if my Sand Worm won't miss his attack my enemies backline should start to fall

3rd Round

• The 3rd Round went exactly how I wanted it to go
• Now as my monsters still had quite a lot of health left I was sure I would win and this was just a matter of cleaning the board up
• My Sand Worm was going to take down my enemies Mushroom Seer, my Axemaster was going to get the tank and both of my magic monsters were then going to get the last standing ranged monster

4th Round

• The 4th Round went exactly who I described it
• After my enemies board was cleared I took home the victory

Summary

• I felt like he messed up his lineup in the team building screen to the point were it was easy win for me
• With some minor layout changes to my enemies team I believe the battle would have been a lot closer
• But I can't complain too much as win is a win and I felt that my team was still quite strong
