The ruleset for this week's challenge

image.png

  • Target Practice - All ranged and magic units gain the Snipe ability

The ruleset that I managed to get

image.png

  • Rulesets - Target Practice
  • Mana Cap - 25
  • Active Elements - image.png image.png image.png image.png

Here's my starting lineup

Summoner: Bortus

  • When picking a summoner I felt like my enemy wanted to play magic damage comp so I decided to make a bold move and try to counter him
1st Position: Djinn Oshannus

  • Djinn Oshannus was my main tank for this battle
  • Main reason I liked Djinn Oshannus here a lot was hes Void ability
  • Void - Reduced damage from magic attacks
2nd Position: Creeping Ooze

  • Just a wonderful monster
  • For 1 mana you get 2 hp and Slow
  • Slow - Reduces the speed of all enemy units
3rd Position: Uraeus

  • Love this card so much because of how many stats you get for low mana
  • For 3 mana you get 2 melee damage (with Sneak), 2 speed, 1 armor and 2 hp
  • Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit
4th Position: Crustacean King

  • Next up in line is one lovely Tank Heal card
  • Low mana and has heal what more can you ask
  • Tank Heal - Restores a portion of the unit in the first position's health each round
5th Position: Pirate Captain

  • I picked Pirate Captain for two reasons
  • First because of hes great stats
  • And the second reason was low mana cost as I didn't have a lot mana left
  • Snipe - Targets enemy units with ranged, magic, or no attack that are not in the first position
6th Position: Kulu Swimhunter

  • Another decently low mana cost card with great stats

Starting board

image.png

  • Already after seeing the starting board I was confident I would lose because my enemy had much higher level cards than me
  • But let's still go over the battle, you never know how the battle might end

image.png

Here's how the battle went

1st Round

image.png

  • After 1st Round my theory was correct I was getting totally destroyed
  • Now I was 100% sure I was going to lose
  • My enemy had two 3 melee damage monsters with Double Strike couldn't really do anything against it
2nd Round

image.png

  • After 2nd Round my board was almost cleared
  • I saw that 3rd Round was about to be my last
3rd Round

image.png

  • It took him just 2 two hits from one of hes Double Streak monsters to take down my last standing monster
  • After my Djinn Oshannus had fallen I was faced with a defeat
  • Battle Replay Link

image.png

Summary

  • This battle was definitely heavily one sided to my enemy
  • In this battle I sadly felt like a lost because I just simply didn't have high enough level cards but that's how it is sometimes
