BATTLE MAGE SECRETS ✶ UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL ✶ SECOND GO
The ruleset for this week's challenge
- Up Close and Personal - Only units with melee attacks can be used
The ruleset that I managed to get
- Rulesets - Up Close and Personal & Cripple
- Mana Cap - 38
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Mylor Crowling
- With this weeks challenge the best summoner you could possibly go for is Mylor Crowling as he gives your monsters Thorns
- Thorns - When hit with a melee attack, does damage back to the attacker
1st Position: Mycelic Infantry
- Mycelic Infantry was my main tank for this battle
- Main reason I like Mycelic Infantry here a lot is hes Shield ability
- Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks
2nd Position: Dumacke Orc
- Next up is this lovely soulbound card
- Main reason I like Dumacke Orc here a lot is hes Shield ability
- Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks
3rd Position: Flesh Golem
- Next in line is another tanky monster
- For 6 mana you get 10 hp with Heal
- Heal - Restores a portion of the unit's health each round
4th Position: Disintegrator
- I like Disintegrator a lot here because of hes Demoralize ability
- Demoralize - Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy units by 1
5th Position: Uraeus
- Uraeus was the last monster I picked and the main reason was that he costed only 3 mana
- Sneak - Targets the last unit on the enemy Team instead of the first unit
6th Position: Stone Golem
- Another lovely monster with Shield
- Shield - Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks
Starting board
- The starting board didn't really say anything other than I definitely had better summoner than him
- Also I went with the more defensive team and he went with more aggressive comp
- I just needed to wait and hope that his monsters would just kill themselves hitting my monsters who have Thorns
Here's how the battle went
1st Round
- After 1st Round the boards looked quite the same
- Just some minor armor damages
2nd Round
- After 2nd Round my board was still looking almost as healthy as in the beginning with only one monster fallen
- My enemy in the other hand lost 2 of hes Sneak monsters and was about to lose his Deeplurker next round
3rd Round
- In the 3rd Round I lost my Uraeus but my enemy also lost his Deeplurker
- The board was looking quite in my favor
4th Round
- In the 4th Round his tank finally fell and at that point I was 100% sure I would win this battle
5th Round
- After 5th Round my enemies board was almost empty
- Now it was just down to clean up and I believed that the next round should be the last
6th Round
- It took me 1 full round to kill my enemies last standing monster
- After hes Demented Shark had fallen I took the victory

Summary
- This battle was definitely interesting to watch
- I believe the strategy to take away from this battle is that using the right summoner for you battle ruleset could be the difference between winning and loosing
