Chaos Legion and the new modern rank format

Hey Guys! Let me share some tips for building your own chaos deck and the incoming modern rank format

As we all know, there will be new format for rank battle in the near future which are wild and modern format. But for today's topic, I'll be just talking about the modern format and provide some tips on how we can prepare for it.

I've been playing this game for about 5 months or more now as of writing this blog. As this is also my first NFT game, I made some mistakes in my investment here on my early days. I was so excited to buy my own cards but at the same time skeptical as I don't want to spend more money without earning yet. But now, the card prices are way more higher than before and the rentals prices goes up as well especially when end season is approaching.

Based on my experience from playing this game and observing in the market, here are the following tips I can give to everyone especially for those beginners like me.

TIP 1: Stay away from the Bronze League
Bronze League has been nerfed hard from the previous updates and I can say that unlike before, it is not worth it anymore to have multiple accounts and let it play in bronze league. You can still do it if you want but what I can suggest to you is that you focus your time and effort on a single account which you want to grow in terms of assets and income.

TIP #2: Have your own cards if possible
As we can see, card prices are going up and up each day. Investing on cards will surely be profitable on the long term aspect of the game. You can have them to play, to rent for others or to flip them (buy and sell), it's all up to you. Also, having your own cards will help you gain your own card power which can give you more SPS airdrop points plus it will lessen your stress on every end season. For me, this is a win-win situation.

TIP #3: Look for your cards break point
Before buying any cards, you should always look for the break point. So what is this break point I'm talking about? It is the level of the card you want to have at least for the rank tier you are aiming. Let's say we want to play on silver league, we can still play level 1 cards but we also want to maximize the ability of our cards. Take a look at this Pelacor Conjurer for example. It is already a good meat shield card for a level 1 but it's much better on its level 4 so we can get that reflect ability.

I'll give you one more example. Take a look at this Pelacor Mercenary.

It is a great card right? Having a fly and heal abilty on it's 6th level. Well yes, but if you are not planning to play in gold rank, then you can't use his heal ability. Technically, you can still use a level 6 common card in silver rank but your summoner should be a level 5 common card which will somehow limit your deck because the only common summoner as of now is the Delwyn Dragonscale and we are trying to build our chaos deck and there's no common summoner for them yet.

Conclusion
With these few tips, it will surely help you prepare for the modern rank mode and build your chaos deck. It will also help you have that enough power to play in silver or higher tiers by just maximizing the level and break point of your own card without renting high-cost unnecessary cards.

These tips are also applicable in other card edition and not just for chaos cards but it is way more effecient for chaos since their prices aren't that high as the other edition.

Thank you so much for taking your time reading my first ever blog! I hope I can get a feedback for what to improve or what to blog next.

See you in the game :)

hello, @dlan0000! I'm @jcrodriguez from the @OCD team. we've seen that you've already published your first post here on Hive! congratulations and welcome!

I also play Splinterlands. I love it, I've been playing it for a long time. But today I'm going to give you some information about the Hive platform.

However, the best way to start your journey here on Hive is to make an awesome introductory post . As an example of what an introduction post is, you can refer to this introduction post as a reference:

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community

There is no specific format on how to make your introduction post, but there are some suggested content we would like to see in your post: Information like who you are and where you're from, how you discovered Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types you want to produce, and what your expectations are on this platform. You can choose the information you want to share. This will help other Hivers get to know you and feel comfortable supporting your work here.

The best thing to do is to post in the right community, there are a lot of communities you can explore and subscribe to the ones you like. Check out the OCD Community Incubation Program. There is a wide variety of topics, you are sure to find the right communities for your content.

You may run into RC (Resource Credits) issues when trying to comment/post because you don't have enough Hive Power in your account yet. You can fix this with a one-week temporary delegation through the Gift Giver Site. Another solution is to have the person who recommended Hive delegate some Hive Power to you.

If you are looking for tips and information as a newbie to Hive, click here: newbie guide. They are easy to understand and useful to learn how the platform ecosystem works.

Keep in mind that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms, as you are monetizing your blog, so it's important not to include content you don't own without sources (and it should not exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check out this post – Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers. You can also check out this excellent collection of resources to understand how plagiarism and abuse is handled on the platform.

If you have questions or concerns, you can join the OCD Discord server and we will be happy to answer your questions.

Lovesniper will follow you, we hope to see your presentation post soon! You can tag @lovesniper in your introduction post.

^this!

I just started 2.5 weeks ago and two days ago I made the decision to invest some hundred bucks to buy myself into silver 3. Best decision so far. No more renting needed, 50% chance for cards, 2 chests from daily quests. I think this was a wise decision in the long run.

It really is. My strategy now is to buy cards that I really use and max it at least for silver league. Then for the early season, I'll use it to grind and win battles. This will make my profit even more due to less renting. And when the season end comes, I'll list my cards for renting and earn passive income for 2 days.
