How to rise above the bots : a beginners guide to bronze league !

Hello duellist !
You came here because you were lured here with my awesome posts clic-bait title ?flat,128x,075,fpad,128x128,f8f8f8.jpg

Perfect, that was my goal !

As a new player of Splinterlands, I didn't experience the current situation that the majority of players even newer than me are experiencing ! Nevertheless, I have a bronze level account on which I suffer the same inconvenience as most of us ! Why am I telling you my life’s story ? Because I am tired of facing the bots who farm in bronze...
imarobotrobot.gif

So I thought (because I can, unlike a bot) it would be a good idea to determine which are good/best compositions (only with the starter pack cards, regarding battle mana cost. Early on, no specific rules are in play and all elements are playable.
I don't have a lot of experience, nevertheless I must, before sharing my humble contribution, warn you of several things:

  • NOTHING replaces a preliminary analysis of your opponent (if he always plays the same thing, try to counter them)
  • If you only consider the starter pack, you will always run into a match-up that can counter you, it happens
  • Yes, magic is boring (and Harry is really a wizard) Gdtga_Nu_400x400.jpg
  • Dragons are useless (with the starter pack)
  • All of the following compositions are by no means guaranteed to win, but they give you an idea of what, I think, is not bad to play
  • You can lose because of the randomness of who goes first, that’s life pepethefroghands.gif
  • Frankly, at this level, if you have the creeping ooze + the chicken, you'll save a lot of time and wins
  • Replace the albatross/cursed slimeball by the creeping ooze in the mirror comps and you will win
  • As soon as that starter cards will change (with Chaos legion release), things will change !

There is the precious !
Bronze comps by MANA.png

This table can be greatly improved, is just beginners tooltips who's struggling in bronze league, around 100 to 750 ratings ! I’m willing to discuss with people well more experienced and with better ideas/advices ! If some compositions seem to be of equal strength, I can add them to a line for a similar mana cost ! I’m also willing to adapt the table to enrich him. 😊

PS: Thanks to players from the Never Alone guilds who helped me, especially @Evomaster and @BLUEPENGUIN
PS2: Good luck to find the power if you reach the silver league
PS5: No stock, sorry bro

Your humble servant,
Me

Hello, @dnxdieu! This is @jcrodriguez from @OCD team. We saw that you already posted your first post here in Hive! Congratulations and welcome! However, it would be awesome if you do an introduction post. As a sample of what an intro post is, you can refer to this intro post for reference:

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community

There's no specific format on how you do your intro post, but there is some suggested content that we would love to see in your post. Information like who are you and where you're from, how did you discover Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types that you want to produce, and what are your expectations in this platform. There's no pressure on this. You can choose whatever information you would like to share.

You can explore the communities that you may like in this post: OCD Communities Incubation Program. There is a wide variety of topics, you are sure to find the right communities for your content.

You may encounter RC (Resource Credits) issues when trying to comment/post because you don't have enough Hive Power in your account yet. You can fix this with a one week temporary delegation through the Gift Giver Site. Another solution is for the person who recommended Hive to delegate some Hive Power to you.

If you are looking for tips and information as a Hive newbie, click here: newbie guide. They are easy to understand and useful for learning how the platform ecosystem works.

Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check this post - Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers.

If you have questions or concerns, you can hop into OCD's Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions.

Lovesniper will follow you and we are looking forward to your intro post!

Hope to see your next posts soon!
