The Modern/Wild Dilemma
For those who entered the Splinterlands fray near the middle of the Untamed release, like myself, we have a dilemma on our hands. Undoubtedly our decks contain a few monsters that will not be included in the Modern format. The question then becomes: do we have the right mix to compete with the OGs?
For me this question presents itself in the form of my Death Splinter and the mighty Octopider.
I am grinder, low dollar account. I have built my Death Splinter around this card. However I have all Chaos summoners and very few Alpha/Beta monsters. Even fewer leveled up to compete out of current Silver 2.
Soon I will have to decide which path to take:
- Sell or Rent Out my wild cards and revamp my whole deck
or - Try to grind out in wild building off my Chaos summoners
Both present their challenges but I am going to test both out by completing a season in both formats before making any long term financial moves. I will follow up with the details of my adventures.
