Earth, Water and Fire! 🎮 My first Splinterlands Brawl Report.
🚀 Introducing an Alt-base on Earth, Water and Fire!
I will try to keep this post to-the-point while demonstrating strategies that you can use to win #Splinterlands Brawls & League battles.
Hey guys, @jim-crypto here. As this is my Alternative Base (Splinterlands Deck) I thought I'd start sharing some of my Brawl battles from it. @doomz is a Silver 2 / 3 League deck and proof that you don't need a lot of CP (Card Power) to be competitive in #Splinterlands.
Lets check out the Brawl Battles!
Brawl Frey 7 - Bronze Level : Chaos Legion Cards Only
Card Rarity Allowed - Common (3) Rare (2) Epic (2) Legendary (1)
Gladius Cards - n/a
(Above) As you can see, I had only 3 battles but managed to win them all. Happy days!
➡️ I usually play this base at Silver 3 for the season, sometimes I rent CP to Silver 2, but the ONLY way I win Brawls is by renting a selection of cards (for that brawl), usually geared towards my strongest Splinters (Earth & Water).
➡️ Dragon is Overpowered in Chaos Legion (CL) right now and so for CL only Brawl Battles, or in-game Events, I highly recommend renting Legendary Dragon Monsters as well as the super cheap Legendary CL Summoner 'KWIX THE DEVIOUS'.
➡️ In general, my '@Doomz Deck' performs very well against much larger Splinterlands Decks because it is an older account than most and owns an abundance of UNTAMED CARDS (pulled from packs); as well as having a ton of card delegations from @jim-crypto, my Main Base / Deck.
(Above) Untamed Delegations from my Main Base really helps me punch above my weight class!
Now, let's take a look at the winning Strategies...
🌲 EARTH : BRAWL 1 - Magic melts Fire
Outstanding Rental - Obsidian (Earth Summoner, Rare) : Level 2
Outstanding Owned - Goblin Psychic (Earth, Common) : Level 1
Most Splinterlands players agree that EARTH Magic Cards are OP (over-powered), especially when paired with the Summoner Obsidian (+1 Magic Damage).
Even though I was outgunned here, the Magic Damage was able to melt the 2 front row Tanks, with one of my favourite cards 'GOBLIN PSYCHIC' healing the front row and doing 3 damage every turn!
Renting 'OBSIDIAN (Earth Summoner, Rare) : Level 2' allows my levelled Cards to be used in battle. While she was not utilized in this battle, I believe in the power of RENTING LEVEL 2 SUMMONERS for smaller decks.
🌊 WATER : BRAWL 2 - Speed and Shield win the day

Outstanding Rental - Baakjira (Water, Legendary) : Level 1
Outstanding Owned - Scavo Hireling (Neutral, Common) : Level 1
Speed is making a comeback in Splinterlands & KELYA FRENDUL (Summoner, Rare) assists greatly with her Summoning skills : +1 Speed +1 Armor!
I've been winning some insane battles because the opposition just can't hit my Monsters. A few misses this round definitely helped to secure the win, but the star performer was the very cheap SCAVO HIRELING : his Shield Repair ability helping to eat up a lot of the Melee attacks.
No Water Lineup (deck?) is complete without the DEEPLURKER : his OPPORTUNITY Ability and 3 Damage have cleaned up many a low level enemy lineup. Not a fish you want to meet on a dark stormy night!
🔥 FIRE : BRAWL 3 - Grum FlamebladeTank holds the line
Outstanding Rental - Grum Flameblade (Fire, Legendary) : Level 1
Outstanding Owned - GOLD FOIL, Tenyii Striker (Fire, Rare) : Level 3
Fire vs Fire - a Heavyweight bout with Front Row Tanks slugging it out!
Luckily I rented Grum Flameblade for just such an occasion, with my backline monsters doing enough damage to help us clean up the stragglers. Less finesse, more 'Pew Pew'.
The Rare, CL Summoner TARSA (+1 Melee Attack +1 Life) was chosen by both myself and the opposition, but Grum won the slug fest in the end.
To celebrate I watched some old Mike Tyson fights on Youtube, haha!
THGaming 2 - Guild Brawl Result
We finished 4th this Brawl. @THGaming will continue to build up our Top 3 Guilds and very soon THGaming 2 will be Winning our Brawls...wait and see!

Recent THGaming 2 Guild Developments:
Store Upgraded to Level 2. Guild members can now purchase Gladius Packs using Merits earned from Brawl Battles.
All Guild Members instructed to donate to the Barracks only, to unlock Gladius Card usage in Brawls.
Due to outstanding performances, @atbui89 has left THGaming 2 to join THGaming 1. Congratulations on moving up!
Conclusion
While not my most 'skillful' Brawl battles ever, the combinations I chose and rentals I had in my arsenal were able to get me 3 wins and no losses, so I will not complain about those numbers! I have a feeling my next Brawl (in 18 hours) will feature the Dragon Splinter heavily, so keep a look out for that Post 🐉
