Second attempt at the Gargoya Scrapper share your battle challenge, This time round I used it in an equalizer ruleset as it make it a better card during a equalizer ruleset.

Card Background Information
Edition | Chaos Legion |
---|---|
Rarity | Common |
Element | Life |
Attack | Melee |
Abilities | Void (LV3) |
Symbol | Rule Effect |
---|---|
Reduced damage from Magic attacks (Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage) |
Card level & stats
Bronze max | LV3 - Gains void
Sliver max | LV5 - +1 Speed
Gold max | LV8 - -1 Speed & +1 Damage
Diamond and above | LV MAX - +1 Speed & +1 Health
Cost per level (used prices at time of writing)
Seems to cost at least 0.062 per copy, getting a single copy is enough to be fair so that you will not lose focus points, however getting it to level 3 gives it void which makes it better.
Bronze max | LV3 - 14 copies = 0.868 usd.
Sliver max | LV5 - 60 copies = 3.72 usd.
Gold max | LV8 - 220 copies = 13.64 usd.
Diamond and above | LV MAX - 400 copies = 24.8 usd.
The gains given at higher level are not really that fantastic, only at gold would it gain a point of damage else it probably not your go to card in the lineups.
if getting a level 3 card is all you want maybe getting a gold foil copy is more worth it since the price is at the moment is cheaper, the lowest being 0.84 usd which is cheaper than the regular foil and gives the gold bonus.
Battle rules
Symbol | Rule Effect |
---|---|
Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. | |
The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. |
Total Mana : 24
Usable elements : Earth, Life and Death
Reverse speed making slow units become fast and with equalizer making low HP units much better.
Team Composition
Role: Summoner
General Sloan, the damage boost is always good to have. The best defense is a good offense afterall.
Position: Main Tank/ void/ Star of the Challenge
Gargoya Scrapper with the equalizer it can function as a proper main tank against magic units since it has void which reduces the magic damage.
Role: Opportunist / Sub Tank/ Flying
Celestial Harpy since it has opportunist it can attack from anywhere which is great and with flying gives it a better dodging against non flying units
Role: Magic Damage/ Debuffer
Vernari Spellsmith with its dispel to remove the buff on the opponent team if they have any and as its kinda slow it will attack first.
Role: Range Damage/ Healer
Venari Crystalsmith , the healer with the equalizer its healing will be much greater since they all will have high health.
Role: Range Damage/ Double strike
Pelacor Arbalest, The main damage dealer on the team with its low speed of 2 and high 3 damage after the buff with the double strike.
Role: Melee Damage/ Sneak
Stitch Leech with the sneak it will act as a shield for the rest of the team while being able to attack the opponent's back line.
Now on to the Battle
Round 1
Did not really expect the minus one to my melee damage, it does reduce the effectiveness of the team since I do have 3 units that are melee attacker but one of the only has 1 attack so its not really affected.
Aww the void effect of Gargoya Scrapper does not come into much play due to the opponent team being melee heavy rather than magic heavy.
Round 2
The range damage on my team is doing its job by taking out the enemy, unfortunately Gargoya Scrapper fall to the magic damage blast since its being 3x due to the recharge effect which makes it hit really hard.
Round 3
The Venari Crystalsmith is doing its job well keeping the subtank alive but that reduction of melee damage is really affecting the Stitch Leech damage output making it unable to make a dent in the backline.
Round 4
Stitch Leech did serve as a great sneak shield keeping the high range damage unit alive, which helps me win this match.
Round 5
At this point the match is over with a 4 v 2 situation, all in all if I went melee heavy I would have probably lost, the Venari Crystalsmith was the MVP keeping the frontline alive for a long time by healing them.
Strategy Talk
Gargoya Scrapper was a pretty decent tank but due to the non magic heavy team it was unable shine since void is kinda useless outside of magic heavy teams but the equalizer ruleset does make it a decent card to use.
Getting one copy is good enough to prevent focus point lost but getting one at level 3 is better and if you are getting it at level 3. you might as well get a gold foil version since it give a gold boost to the focus points
Thanks for the battle challenge curation team
Can't wait to see which card will be in Next's weeks challenge
