The Battle

What's going on everybody this is my weekly battle challenge submission. This week's theme is the animated corpse, a nice 4 cost death mini tank. This is what the formations looked like and the ruleset. We had super sneak ruleset so it was the perfect opportunity to run this lineup.

Spot 1

Tank

Starting off in spot 1 I put this week's theme animated corpse he was a good fit for this as I saw my opponent's recent battles had a lot of magic in them. Being a 4 cost 7 health monster with void is a good choice for low mana battles. Also, this was the super sneak ruleset so if he ran magic it wouldn't get many of the buffs from the ruleset as super sneak only affects melee monsters. After playing with this guy a few times now over the past few months I have really come to like him, not my go-to option but definitely a pick in the low mana battles and vs magic spam.
My opponent only went with one magic monster in this ruleset and it was the ruler of the seas which he put at the very back of his lineup to which was a big mistake in this match.

Spot 2

Utility

In spot 2 I put ooze thinking most of the monsters would be hitting my backline I wanted him in the second slot to slow them down and get my attacks off first. His ruler of the seas and the blast effect ended up taking him out right off the bat but it was not too much of a factor. What more can be said about this card it is so amazing reducing the speed of your enemy's monsters is clutch. I remember seeing this card at 1.30$ just a few months ago and now the cheapest you can get him is 11$, which goes to show the value of a 1 cost speed reducer.

Spot 3

Speed Sneaker

Ahh, the good ole skeleton assassin this card is an amazing death card. Ok at level 1 but amazing at level 5 with 2 melee and 5 speed, he usually attacks first and has been a very vital card in most of my death lineups. I used this guy because of his cheap cost and value being only 3 cost in mana as well lets you fit in some bigger guys to really pack a punch.

Spot 4

Peleacor Deceiver

Slotting in spot 4 we chose a high health good speed new reward card. The Pelecaor deceiver a card I haven't used too much of yet but seems good. 4 Speed with flying means has a good chance at dodging attacks and a whopping 10 health seems like a great combo. I don't why I don't see more of these in battles but I like this card. Again perfect ruleset to put him in as he was getting sneak so I knew he would get a few attacks off.

Spot 5

Lord Of Darkness

Hey, it's everybody's favourite death card. The legendary LOD this guy is such a boss and OG of the game and still showing supreme value to this day. Being a 7 cost monster with enrage and stun even though his stun doesn't work a lot of the time for me...DAMN RNG!!! He is still a beast, in the super sneak ruleset he can really shine.

Spot 6

Thorny Scorpion

Another one of my favourite death cards is the giant scorpion. Getting thorns at level 5 is when he shows up before that he is not that useful. I love him as my first slot little mini tank or in this scenario where melee monsters will be sneaking around and attacking the backline.

Conclusion

My opponent made some odd positioning choices here as he could have put spineback turtle in the back so I would take damage from thorns and keep his ruler of the seas alive longer. Overall we crushed him pretty quick and even with the right positioning I still feel I would have won. I hope you enjoyed my setup and submission for this week's battle challenge.
