Social media challenge - Counterspell off.

Hello my friends. I hope you are fine. We have a new SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE to make exicting battles about. In SPLINTERLANDS you have to learn how to use your cards. Also, it is very important to arrange your cards in a good way because the details will help you a lot in battle. In this game you will learn many things. Active Units: FIRE, EARTH, LIFE and DRAGONS.

Rules of Compat:

Counterspell: All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability.

The opponent's:

1- SHIELDBEARER. 2- GARGOYA SCRAPPER. 3- TRUTHSPEAKER. 4- VENARI CRISTALSMITH. 5- XENITH ARCHER. 6- PELACOR ARBALEST.
And the summoner is GENERAL SLOAN.

My lineup & strategy:

My summoner is GENERAL SLOAN. The options were few for me. The best was to use the LIFE element and GENERAL SLOAN to support Ranged attack monsters.

1- GARGOYA SCRAPPER.

This is a weak monster. I know it can't win the battle, but it can make some distraction to the opponent's attacks.

2- SHIELDBEARER.

It is a major monster in the LIFE unit, due to its Health, Armor, and Taunt ability that protects the rest of the monsters. It will be helpful as a tank.

3- SCAVO HIRELING.

I will need more Armors in the battle and this monster will help me by fixing my the Armors of my monsters.

4- VENARI CRYSTALSMITH.

In addition to its 2 Ranged attack, it will be an angel for my tanks because of its Tank Heal ability. It's a bargain, attacks the opponent and heals the rest of my monsters.

5- PELACOR ARBALEST.

It's very important to have an attack buff, like in soccer, and this monster gives me that buff thanks to its Double Strike ability and a summoner boost that makes its power 3 Ranged attack.

6- HERBALIST.

It is not a strong monster, but thanks to the support of GENERAL SLOAN it can make the opponent's tank weak or he may eliminate it.

ROUND 1:

The opponent's VENARI CRYSTALSMITH and PELACOR ARBALEST hit my SHIELDBEARER. My VENARI CRYSTALSMITH and PELACOR ARBALEST replied the attack and hit the opponent's tank who eliminated my GARGOYA SCRAPPER. SCAVO HIRELING fixed my new tank's Armor and protected its Health from XENITH ARCHER's attack. HERBALIST hit the opponent's SHIELDBEARER.

ROUND 2:

My PELACOR ARBALEST eliminated the opponent's SHIELDBEARER by the Double Strike ability. VENARI CRYSTALSMITH healed my tank and hit the opponent's new tank GARGOYA SCRAPPER before the opponent's VENARI CRYSTALSMITH and PELACOR ARBALEST hit my SHIELDBEARER who eliminated GARGOYA SCRAPPER. SCAVO HIRELING fixed my tank's Armor, XENITH ARCHER hit SHIELDBEARER, HERBALIST hit TRUTHSPEAKER.

ROUND 3:

VENARI CRYSTALSMITH eliminated my tank. The opponent's PELACOR ARBALEST eliminated SCAVO HIRELING and hit my VENARI CRYSTALSMITH who became my new tank. The opponent's VENARI CRYSTALSMITH became his new tank after my PELACOR ARBALEST eliminated TRUTHSPEAKER and the opponent's lost the Armors. The second strike of my PELACOR ARBALEST hit the opponent's VENARI CRYSTALSMITH who got eliminated by HERBALIST after mine healed itself and recieved a hit from XENITH ARCHER.

ROUND 4:

My VENARI CRYSTALSMITH healed itself again. My PELACOR ARBALEST finished the battle by eliminating XENITH ARCHER and the opponent's PELACOR ARBALEST by the Double Strike ability.

AND I WON THE BATTLE. 😎

My comment:

The battle rule Counterspell was broken because we didn't use Magic attack monsters. Nobody wants his blows to bounce back at him.
At first I felt I was going to lose, but my strategy worked well. My choice of GARGOYA SCRAPPER as a tank and SHIELDBEARER in the second position deflected the opponent's attacks while all my attacks were focused on his tank. In the ROUND 2 I got lucky because my monsters started attacking and managed to damage opponent's monsters. SCAVO HIRELING also helped me when it repaired my tank's Armor and prevented it from being quickly eliminated. I always say that PELACOR ARBALEST gives a powerful advantage, but in this battle my opponent was unable to exploit this advantage while I did.
