Hi everbody and i welcome you all to my first Social media challenge post, i want to talk about my experience with using the free cards in bronze league, explaining my analysis for progression in the league. i have been reading lots of splinterlands post the past few days and this has motivated me to write my own post today, which i am excited about.

As a new player to Splinterlands even if you are not a hardcore gamer, the thoughts of reaching the top leauge has one or multiple times crossed your mind, no doubt, and this thought may be a scary one, because we all are aware of the number of players that compete for the top league with a bunch of other factors that also have to be considered like the cards you would be using to compete and the cost which just makes it a really strong competiton. Today's post, i am sharing my experience with playing in the bronze league for the very first time as a new player myself, giving you my first-hand thoughts and analysis on prepping to progress to the top league if this is your wish, and how I have decide to aim for the top league this season.

The big question of the day, is competing in bronze league with free cards possible??

FREE CARDS IN SPLINTERLANDS

In Splinterlands the free cards readily available cards to all players in each of the elements, this free cards can be used to to battle and progress with up until a point that their stats allows though, that is the card statistics are good enough to enable you win battles in the higher leagues.

Progressing to the top the league are harder by the battle when starting off with the free cards which is why a calculated strategy to progress as a newbie should be implemented.

Free cards Battle win-strategy analysis

This is a summary and a general conclusion of some free card available in the splinter element, highlighting their strenght and refrencing their winning strategy in bronze league**

• Earth Elemental - The earth elementals cards have strong cards that have the to compete in bronze league, all it takes to achieve this is using the right strategy, when playing with base cards in the earth elementals a good win strategy is using cards like regal peryton with strong magic ability, goblin psyhcic with powerful heal and and a summoner card like obsidan.

• Fire Elemental- My opinion of the fire elemental base cards are very strong, with the assertiveness of these cards applied with a great strategy, it would give you lots of wins. Fire elementals majorly have mid- low-mana cost cards, which would get you so much attack in a low-mana battle and with a bump up from summoner like tarsa. cards like serpentine spy, kobol brosal are very good.

• Water Elemental- The water elemental is another splinter with powerful base cards like djinn oshuannus , serpent of eld, deep lurker with opportunity ability and great melee attack and merdaali guardian a heal ability card that can be used in different battle with the ability to heal first position which is always a strong advantage even with rented or purchased cards.

• Neutral Elemental- There are hidden gems in this elementals in my opinion with their advantages of being able to combine well with other splinter cards is most times underrated, this advantage can propel win rate to a whole new level, the neutral free cards are also very strong in a line up with good strategy , they provide diversity in the battle for example they play great substitute to line up mana round up, also there are many cards with magic attacks and melee attack which can be interchangeably played with splinter that have less of these abilities .

Strategy to compete in bronze league

• Free cards vs Non-free cards

As a beginner i realised that, not all opponets (non free cards) cards have the best stats or are budget friendly, this should be analized when considering weather to battle with free cards or not. Renting or purchasing a series of cards for an entire season may be too expensive and out for pocket for new players too, but then again relying on skills and strategy with just free cards to go against big daddy cards like the dragon cards in opponent position is also very dicey, that is why using an alternative strategy below would work out better.

• The options of renting /purchasing cards

You should keep in my mind that progressing with free cards is borderline challenging , that is why renting or purchasing cards which has been provided in the marketplace in a strategic way to assist you to win is a superb alternative .

Rent/Purchase cards strategy

• do not go for utility or supporting cards which have already been provided in the starters cards,

• or dont at least think the most expensive or high rate mana cards would guarantee you wins.

• you should go for strategic and individual powerful cards with low to mid mana costs, to enable you add more monsters to a battle with low mana cap.

• purchasing free cards with higher level is also a good idea, they are mostly inexpensive than the non free cards, this would double their abilities when purchased in higher levels, and when you go for strong cards like djinn oshuanuss it is self explanatory what would happen.

• I would also like to think that keeping track of team lineup in every battle is also very important, keeping tabs of the lineup strategy that won you the battle is good so you can incorporate it again as you try to climb the league.

• In my opinion purchasing the choas of legion cards which are fairly new and are not as expensive is of advantages, why you may ask, this is because this cards come with strong very strong monster cards and low mana cost too.

My thoughts

I strongly feel that weighing your options is where the decision lies weather to use free or non free cards to play, you can tell from the analysis above that both is possible but, on the end of using based cards is less guranteed than using strategic cards to enable you progress. this is the strategy i am implementing to enable me get to the top league this season.
