Splinterlands Diary 20.04.22 - 5 Chaos Legion Packs and Flying Squid

Hello friends, recently PayPal stopped working in Russia, which I don't like it much because my main income was exactly via this payment system, and I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to withdraw the money I had accumulated there, and came up with nothing better than buying Chaos Legion packs. Yes, it's a lottery and you can easily go broke, but it's still better than money you can't use.

I bought 5 packs this week and I can't say I was very happy with them, although a couple of Obsidian summoners and an epic Dax Paragon came in very handy.

However, the biggest joy was the Flying Squid. I use this card a lot in Water battles, and I'm very happy with its speed and attack, which together with its ability to attack from the second line makes it very dangerous for the enemy.

For example in this battle, since the rules were Earthquake I used a BRIGHTON BLOOM summoner that gives the ability to fly all my monsters, so the squid totally lived up to its name :)

My first pair of cards dropped out pretty quickly, but most importantly, my mages got a little head start, and it was only a matter of time before Djinn Oshannus and Phantom of the Abyss could deal with my opponent's cards.

After yesterday's update the game algorithm picked up very powerful opponents, so during the day quest I pretty much drained the battery (and won several bottles of potions....) so I'll wait until the energy recovered and continue on my way to the Diamond III league.
