How does playing Splinterlands on the HIVE blockchain remain feeless?

One thing that drives me crazy about trading and using crypto are the fees that come with it. I bought my $10 spellbook in Splinterlands with Bitcoin, which cost an addition $20 in fees.

How can Splinterlands run on the Hive, doing millions of transactions a day, and remain feeless? Is Hive just that good? Everyone should be using it.

There's actually a fee for playing Splinterlands, but it's so Tiny (and Rechargeable) that you probably will never notice it unless you play for many hours.

Hive transactions cost something called "Resource Credits." Each thing you do on Hive will cost some of it, including commenting, voting, sending tokens, and of course: playing Splinterlands.

You can increase your RC by having more HP (HIVE Power) and you can delegate some of your RC to another account. RC recharges over time (20% of your total every day) so if you don't use Hive a lot, you don't need to learn how RC works.

You can check how many RC you have by going to your account page on [Hiveblocks,]()http://hiveblocks.com/@dtam though at this point PeakD and Ecency also show how much RC you have in their own way.

----

The RC a splinterlands transaction requires is so little you need to play a lot of games to notice it even if you don't have a lot of Hive Power, but if you plan to play the game non-stop with a new account with low HP, there'll come a moment where the game will show you error messages.

Thanks ahmadmanga. Makes sense. Seems like a very good system compared to others like Bitcoin or ethereum.
