Watching Card Values go Up

Don't look know everyone, but the upcoming changes in battle rewards are already making a difference in the value of some of the better shadow cards.

If you don't already know, the big change to battle rewards will be doled out after a ranked victory will depend on how many of the cards used you actually own. The 'shadow' cards, or starter set, can still be played, but your rewards will just be a fraction of those players who actually own those cards.

People have been postulating for a few days now that this will drive up demand for everyone to have at least 1BCX of each of the shadow cards.

Not all the Chaos and Untamed cards have seen much price movement yet, but I've been keeping my eye on one in particular that has skyrocketed.

Unicorn Mustang is a must have. With a high speed of 4, a high attack at 3, and high HP with 10, it is a beast of a tank for the Earth splinter. And it has been overlooked for ever since it was given to all players as one of the shadow cards. Other players must be using it as much as I do, because the price is on the move!

Two days ago I put in a bid of $5, as it was hovering around the $6 range. Then, take a look at a snapshot from Peakmonsters today (May 3, 3pm EST).

Ouch! A low buy of $10.99!
Someone had the bright idea to buy all these up, because there are just 43 total cards on the market.

I wonder if we will see some of the other meta cards from the shadow sets also rocketing up in price and demand.

I wanted to raise awareness so you don't miss out on your favorite cards like I just did.

Also, if anyone has a spare Unicorn you would be my hero ;)
