Winning an 18 mana battle with 1 attack power!

Do you think it is possible!? I threw down the challenge and thanks to a unique arrangement of cards and skills I pulled off the slowest, most painful defeat for my opponent that I can think of. With just 1 total attack (and ranged attack at that), I wittled my opponent down over the course of 21 rounds until all that was left on the other side was dust. Here is the story...

I recently aquired the wave brood card in the water splinter as a celebration for reaching silver league and that precious second daily reward chest. I've been watching a lot of videos and reading a lot of these articles over the past month and half and trying out a few tricks of my own.

I noticed in the lower leagues that we don't have a lot of high mana matches, and so you don't see some of these high mana cost cards. That means we don't see a lot of the taunt skill.

I also noticed that at these levels, everyone used death splinter for low mana matches if they wanted a chance to win. I got tired of having the same lineups over and over. I figured there must be a creative way to beat this death/thorns strategy...

Maybe some of you have already figured this out but I hadn't seen it used against me in any of my matches. I acquired Wave Brood level 1 off peakmonsters and added him to my lineup. This battle was 18 mana, with lost magic (so no magic users allowed). It was just enough for me to play Kelya as my summoner, wave brood, merdaali guardian, and scavo hireling for a total of 18 mana. My hope was that my wave broods taunt would draw all the fire, and then my merdaali guardian and scavo hireling could keep up with the incoming damage by replenishing health and shield. It was almost comical to watch...but I bet it was a bit gut wrenching on the other side.

Here is the lineup to start. I'm facing a very typical low mana level death squad.

Now check it out. Round 12. I've finally defeated his Cursed Windeku and the thorns that come with it (which never effected me because I was ranged). Also, I should mention that Wave Brood has the close range ability allowing him to use ranged attack in the first spot in the lineup. You have to wonder if my opponent stopped watching at this point... but I imagine they continued.

A small part of me hopes that they continued to watch for all 21 rounds. My strategy worked this time. I just had to share for all to witness the slowest battle. Watch at your own peril...or enjoyment.
