Weekly Battle Challenge Dax Paragon Amplify This! [ENG/ESP]
In this week's battle challenge we have Dax Paragon from the Life splinter. Dax Paragon is a low mana, low health, low damage splinter. He is one card that's hard to get away from in really low mana battles. With his 2 mana it seems like he always has a spot. Let's take a look at his stats

Dax Paragon Stats:
This monster starts receive his abilities at level 2. And gets his last ability at level 5. The first ability he receives is Amplify Ability (Amplify ability increases thorns, return fire, and magic reflect damage to all enemy monsters by 1). The second ability he receives is Affliction (Affliction ability gives a chance to apply the affliction to the target monster which then allows the monster not to be healed). These two abilities are very helpful.

In this matchup the rulesets were Fog of War and Even Stevens. Fog of War negates sneak attack, opportunity, and snipe abilities. Even Stevens only allows you to choose even mana cards. With the low mana and these rulesets it limited a lot of cards to be picked from modern league. I went with life because it gave me the best opportunity to win from the cards I own. I made a lot of mistakes in this matchup. I should of positioned my monsters differently. And I also should of used a different monster instead of Celestial Harpy. I know this now after looking and replaying the battle.

I went with Pelacor Conjurer in the first position to reflect magic damage and maybe get a few misses from the speed advantage he has.

Second position I went with Dax Paragon. With his amplify ability combined with Pelacor Conjurer's magic reflect ability I figured this would be added damage if my opponent chose to go with a heavy magic line-up.

Third position I chose Celestial Harpy. With her opportunity ability. I felt I could take down some pesky healer. But I realized this was a mistake. Because fog of war now negates opportunity monsters. Lesson learned.

Fourth position I chose Pelacor Arbalest.
I chose him for his double strike ability. The damage you receive from this monster is awesome.

Fifth position I chose Soul Fiend. I threw this monster in because I had extra positions to fill. And the zero mana adds extra health to the battle if it comes down to it.

This card is great in low mana battles. But I rarely use him because I feel sometimes there are better options. I would say give this card a rent before u buy into him.
