Encarando o abismo

aa882b8a28986ec9ef91407737bf76d2.jpg

Introduction

This post recounts my noob experience along my epic journey to Silver III, my biggest enemies: The Bots. But thanks to the rent system I was able to overcome these challenges. Come with me and let's understand this low elo problem first.

Facing the Abyss

aa882b8a28986ec9ef91407737bf76d2.jpg

Now let's talk about the abyss that is the low elo, basically we have three elos in the abyss, Novice, Bronze and Silver. The Novice elo is relatively easy to climb, Once you don't need a lot of points and the strongest ones usually go up very fast, but in Bronze there is a serious problem with Bots, they are automated and with the relentless computational powers they choose the best compositions available for the battle mana limit. Basically, as there are no rules and the low level doesn't allow much variation of functional variations, machines will win most of the time, unless they are countered or face an equal strategy that causes Draw(In Bronze I and II when the limit of mana was 27 I always tied, bots used the same water element combination). It's stupidly hard to go from Bronze to Silver without a differential, I managed to get to Bronze II by copying the bots' strategy. Eventually it became very boring to keep looking at the list of prints of compositions I took from the fights I lost (But this strategy made me understand the game much better.). The differential that I found to climb was renting cards. Before, i had used the game's system, but then I started using the https://peakmonsters.com frontend which not only made it easy to rent the cards, but also helped to rent them at a cheap price. Anyway, the next part of the post is just about that. About the Silver elo: It was the easiest, with the rules and high mana cost it took more strategy, bot ready comps don't interpret the rules well (yet) so I had less problems. But Silver III and Bronze I and II were the most difficult.

Renting Cards

Screenshot_14.png

The frontend of peakmonsters is excellent, you can filter the cards more easily than in splinterlands, renting cards is usually cheaper than buying, if you can guarantee a certain profit on your investments. That's why it's important to always check how much DEC you earn per day and how much you spend on rents. Anyway: NEVER stay in Bronze until Silver III, they are elos that are impossible to generate profit. About Peakmonsters, the ideal is always to rent cards cheaper than the normal market price, it is interesting to see the CP per DEC that the card offers if you need more Power to move to the next elo. One thing I do to always get the best price is to click on the Avaliable part of the field of the card I've filtered until a card with an acceptable price appears.

Screenshot_15.png

Anyway, you must be wondering which cards I rented, right? Well, if you're reading this and you're a stinky noob who can't get out of bronze I recommend:

Mylor Motherfucking Crowling

Mylor Crowling is insanely strong, he gives the ability Thorn to all allied monsters, causing all physical attacks to them to do 2 physical damage to the attacker. I mean, for a level 1 summoner, he alone wins low mana games and in rules like: Up Close and Personal Which force physical combat units. I venture to say that a level 1 Mylor alone can take you to silver, but to stay there you'll need at least a few key cards in other splinters. Cards I recommend renting are the summoners: Kelya Frendul, Brigthon, Thadius Blood, General Sloan. I focused especially on the water and dark elements, in which I can guarantee that cards that make a difference are, for the water element: Djinn Oshannus, Wave Brood and Coral Wraith. For the dark element: Cursed Windeku, Arachne Thug and Silent Sha-vi. These are cards that, at a certain level, have bonuses in key attributes such as attack, which make a huge difference. I will go into detail in my battles in the nexts posts.

Climbing to Silver

With my super buffed deck of water and my Motherfucking Crowling (Not mine actually, from someone I rented), climbing up to Prata was more a matter of getting used to the rhythm of the game, you have to learn a lot about the most used compositions by the players and prepare to face them and counterattack. Mylor won physical combats with ease, thanks to the powerful mages and Unicorn with his void ability the earth deck was too strong for many different situations, eventually my choices were based on a very simple line of reasoning: I can do better with the water deck? if not: Mylor Crowling on them. From silver the mana level increases and the rules become more frequent, this favors strategic thinking and discourages the use of bots. Last thoughts about the elos: The rewards of the Bronze are horrible, the chests are almost worthless, don't stay in Bronze. Starting from Silver the rewards improve a lot, but in Silver II and Silver III there is a problem that the RP points to level up the chests are scarce, it is very difficult to farm the chests without grinding and depleting your capture rate (Never lower your capture rate below 50% or you will NEVER make a profit, I learned the wrong way).

Conclusion

Renting cards is a very effective method of leveling up fast. But always remembering that the cost-benefit must be calculated in advance, always keep in mind that when renting a card it will have to do more DEC than you spent, a good thing is always to try to rent for a quarter of the market price.

Thanks for your time people, if you liked this post give your upvote! See you all my dears.
