I am less than 48 hours away from the season closing, and I find myself in a position I didn't expect: 13th place in the Wild league with 3,800 points. After a previous season where I didn't manage to touch the Champion league, being now in the heart of the Top of Diamond generates a mix of pride and brutal strategic anxiety.

Right now, my position guarantees me 150,000 Glints. For my account, this isn't just a number; it’s a massive level jump. With that amount, I can go directly to the shop and secure 2 Legendary Draws, or if I feel like testing my luck, open 15 Ultimate Chests or even 60 Major Chests.

Having recently completed my basic Foundation collection, I can now focus more attention and resources on starting to look toward the Conclave Arcana reward cards. If I decide not to play anymore, it is very likely that I will stay within the Top 25 and secure those 150,000. But of course, the competitive bug tells me that the Top 10 is right there, only 40 points away.

The Top 10 delivers 200,000 Glints. Those 50,000 of difference are tempting. According to my calculations, I am about 3 or 4 consecutive victories away from reaching it. It is a realistic goal. Conversely, the Top 3 is more than 200 points away; I would have to win 10 battles in a row without losing a single one, something that in the current Wild meta is almost statistical suicide. A single error, a bad matchup, or an unfavorable Ruleset and I would lose 30 or 40 points at once, falling precipitously in the ranking.

On the other hand, I have energy to play about 48 battles before the close. If I play conservatively and win, for example, 30 of those battles, I would add about 30,000 extra Glints (calculating 1,000 per victory) plus the SPS. That is, even without climbing to the Top 10, playing could give me almost the same benefit as moving up in rank, but with the constant risk of losing everything.

Por otro lado, tengo energía para jugar unas 48 batallas antes del cierre. This is where the psychological war with myself enters. If I stay still, I depend on others not overtaking me. In the last 12 hours of the season, the Leaderboard usually becomes a carnage. Players who were in low positions start burning energy and the 3,800 points that today seem secure might not be enough to keep me in the Top 25 tomorrow, although looking at the Leaderboard from last season, the Top 25 was at 3,720 points and this season's currently remains at 3,700 with 2 days left, so it will have to go up more.

If I decide to play, I face the ghost of Tilt. Losing two battles in a row would knock me out of the Top 15 and force me to play under pressure to recover lost ground, which usually leads to making mistakes. However, I cannot ignore that winning those 30 battles would give me a constant flow of SPS and Glints that would boost my final season prizes.

Si decido jugar, me enfrento al fantasma del Tilt. I have decided that I am not going to play like crazy. My plan is Active Monitoring. I will watch my position every few hours. If I see that I drop below 18th or 20th place, I will enter the battlefield to defend my spot. If the victories flow and I see the Top 10 just one step away, I will launch the final attack.

These 150,000 Glints are the fuel I need so that my cards have no rival. Ambition asks for the Top 10, but prudence tells me that those Legendary Draws already have my name written on them.
