A Sneaky Elven ! Better watch your back ! - Splinterlands - SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge!

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a card game, similar with Hearthstone and Legends of Runeterra, where you can play battle against other players to get a better rank or in tournaments for awesome rewards !! It is a NFT game based on Hive Blockchain, but the crypto rewards - DEC is the name of the token can be used on ETH, TRX, WAX and Binance Smart Chain.

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge to share a battle using a specific card or a specific splinter (faction) and on this week's post it is the Elven Cutthroat.

For this challenge, I plan to use the Elven Cutthroat in a Fire Splinter team. I also encourage Splinterlands Players to take part in the challenge because you get to try different strategies and earn some crypto in the process + is a lot of fun !

ELVEN CUTTHROAT

The Elven Cutthroat is an amazing common melee monster and part of the neutral splinter a mana cost of 3, with 1 damage 3 speed and 1 health. This card also has the sneak ability. And is part of the earlier released cards from the beta edition.

For the Challenge, this were the starting conditions : Mana Limit: 25

Rulesets: None (Lucky me <3 )

Teams:

Mine

• Summoner: MALRIC INFERNO (All friendly Melee Attack Monsters have +1 Melee Attack)

• Living Lava as tank, with Shield (crazy skill if you are fighting lots of Melee and Ranged monsters).

• As for the back line we got a Melee Attack damage arsenal with a splash of Support in the last position. I chose Magma Troll followed after by Serpentine Spy. After this 2 guys I used my favorite neutral card the Elven Cutthroat, he is the most used neutral card from my deck, at the cost of 2 mana we have a 3 speed and 1 health monster, very squishy but today the monster that has the role of "protector" for the low health monsters I got in the last possition the Goblin Shaman with his incredible Weaken ability, perfect for my fast attack sneak and opportunity monsters.

Opponent

• Summoner: Alric Stormbringer (All friendly Magic Attack Monsters have +1 Magic Attack)

• The Frozen Soldier with Shield ( Reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attacks in first position

• As for the back line he has Medusa in second position followed by Enchanted Pixie, Albatross (Don't know what was in his mind putting the albatross in the middle), Elven Mystic and in the last possition he filled the space with the Centaur with Snipe.

• Not a very good team comp, the albatross in the middle and the Centaur are not so great with the Alric's ability, too bad for him.

The fight :

• In the 1st round my Serpentine Spy destroyed his Enchanted Pixie and the Elven Cutthroat
  and Kobold Miner, both with Sneak attack destroyed the Centaur.

• In the 2nd round my Serpentine Spy took care of his Albatross and the Elven Cutthroat destroyed his Elven Mystic :( but his Medusa took out my tank and right after my tanks demise the Kobold Miner took care of his Medusa and destroyed her.

• In the 3rd round - The final Round - The Frozen Soldier killed my Magma Troll but after the combined attacks of Serpentine Spy, Elven Cutthroat and Kobold Miner they finally managed to destroy the Frozen Soldier (hard guy to get down).

Conclusion

The battle went exactly as planned. I was really hoping that I will fight a mage or ranged opponent. The Elven Cutthroat shined really well in this fight with his Sneak attacks killing all the squishy team from behind.

As for my opponent's side, I would of probably focused more on getting the composition of the team just right, because a albatross is not that great in the middle of the team :)).

Well we all learn little by little !
