What is DYGYCON?

DYGYCON is a unique virtual metaverse that connects you to blockchain projects you should keep an eye out for! 👀 Think of a big convention center, but online...with avatars! Splinterlands hosts DYGYCON every two months (bi-monthly) to bring their partners and new friends to meet in the crypto community.

People were saying they had a blast and said that it was easy to join! The best part is no download necessary. You just need to get access to a desktop computer or laptop.

We had a blast at DYGYCON 6!

November 19th thru 21st, DYGYCON 6 happened! This was the first iteration of DYGYCON that spanned across three days. Due to popular demand to accommodate different timezones, we opened up the space to interact with for the entire weekend where Satruday, November 20th, was our main livestream date! Our TALKS featured Aggroed, from @Splinterlands giving the welcome message, Jason Brink from Gala Games, Adrian Krion from Spielworks/Womplay, and Skyler Ramsey from Dogira! What an amazing lineup. 🎉

We've got a VOD on Youtube here so you can see the recorded TALKS and almost 4-hour livestream with @waffleskitty and Pete from Gamerjibe to run through every corner of the space, dance with friends, and run giveaways. 😺😎

We also let some people join in last minute on the 22nd that missed out on the main action (probably because of all the awesome Twitter posts)!

What was new at this DYGYCON?

Splinterlands uses Gamerjibe's metaverse platform to host DYGYCON. You'll likely see updates to the space at every event as their team works hard to introduce new ways to interact, play, and have fun!

Venue updates:

  • Splinterlands Doctor Blight avatar skins
  • Emotes, emotes everywhere!
  • Womplay Theater added for Spielworks' TALK
  • Theater mode to watch the livestream, chat, and emote!
  • Metamask wallet integration (NFT profile pictures)

New Sponsors:

  • Doctor Who: Worlds Apart
  • NFT Tunz
  • Smighties

We love to see new projects jump into DYGYCON and bring our collective following together to learn and support each other.

Some Personal Experiences Shared

  • I've started on DYGYCON 5 and I really enjoyed listening to the speakers throughout the event. I'm just sad that I wasn't able to attend the first series of DYGYCONs. Overall it was a fun experience and I really had a blast! Can't wait for DYGYCON 7!
  • It was a great way to be able to network and get to ask some questions to a lot of great projects. I'm shocked more people didn't take advantage of such an amazing opportunity to ask questions and learn more about each of these projects.
  • I think i gave tons of hearts to Aggro!
  • Meeting up with sgt-dan and cmmndrgarlic and having a fun time meeting new people, everybody was super outgoing and helpful and look forward to doing it again next time.
  • I had a lot of fun at Dygycon 6! Cecking out all these great booths, seeing a lot of other crypto enthusiasts, fishing a bit and grabing some swag was awesome :) You will see me (btcsam) on the next Dygycon for sure!

When is DYGYCON 7?

In our previous @Splinterlands Town Hall (previously called AMA), you may have seen @waffleskitty join in to let you know first. Here it is everyone: January 21st-23rd, 2022! Mark your calendars and RSVP early as soon as you see posts on Discord and Twitter!

We usually have upwards of 80% in early registrations. Early registrations means you can check the event's landing page for updates and if any emails go out regarding DYGYCON updates, you'll get it first! 🤩

Had an amazing time and hope to see some of these NFTs later this month. I got onto the fishing board but I think I forgot to take a photo. Ive taken photos before at other events in gamerjibe but never received anything so I think I just didnt bother after that but its whatever. Bought a Smighties but seems they are having issues there. Looking forward to how that turns out. And have been a DR WHO Founders since the beginning. Was happy to see them have a booth. I attended the first Dygycon but didnt realize there was a second and third but have been to 4th 5th 6th and plan to attend all the rest. Id for sure be down for a paid ticket option if it comes with any NFTs. I just hope these virtual conventions dont become commercialized and impossible for normal poorer people to attend like comic cons have become

In fact the first dygycon was the only one I received badges on wax for attending. the rest I didnt receive any of those even though I collected the stars and what not, I just figured there werent any or something but Im guessing I must have signed up for something wrong or what not. Ah well, not that important.

We didn't have attendance badges, although we DO have achievement badges and scavenger hunt prizes! Possibly considering tiered ticketing for general free admission and VIP for attendance badges and other goodies. (We're still in the process of brainstorming! 🥰)

Yes I think I just worded it incorrectly:D. Thank you though for the info. I’m not very good with how I word things. Probably brain dead. But anywho I’d be down for a paid pass
You know what someone needs to create
Ok so free idea here. It’s on me because I’m not smart enough to create one

I collect art cards that I get signed by the actors and artist.

Digital art card and device like that infinite objects device

So you can get an artist to draw up say a short cartoon. One character one like all the way to a few minutes long or even 30 minutes long if u want with a whole cast. Just the art abs sound effects though.

The NFT can be added to , well it would have to or it could be blended maybe but part 2 of that would be you get the actors actresses to record the voice part. And they could also digitally autograph it at the end or something.

So the device would have to be able to record sound and so would the NFT or you could record the sound as a separate NFT then combine them to create a full art and sound short signed by artist and actors.

To me that would be the holy grail of art card collecting. The only next best thing would be to collect Holograms of actors saying various things. Now that would be cool. Go to conventions and record actors actresses doing lines and creating holograms of it like hologram card collecting but at a whole new level.
But I’m sure someone has thought of this. I’ve been mentioning it on and off since March 2020 and. That’s how I discovered Infinite objects
Anywho I’m just babbling on. LMK if anyone thinks my idea is possible. I know once I posted it it’s no longer my idea. But if someone legit tries to claim a patent on it I’ll pull up all my posts, and if that don’t work I have nothing to lose so you would be dead right on it :D JJJKKK.
