DYGYCON 9 strong during holiday

DYGYCON 9 welcomed 1653 registrants to join the crypto community in the metaverse! We didn’t quite hit our goal of beating DYGYCON 8’s registrant numbers perhaps due to the United States national holiday, Memorial Day, that took over that weekend. We came in close though! Much love and thanks to all that made this event possible!

You can still check out the archived venue, however you will not be able to enter SWAG or participate in any of the time-sensitive events such as the NFT auction, Achievement Badges, and Scavenger Hunt.

DYGYCON 9 SWAG Wallet Collection Forms were emailed to those that signed up during the event at the SWAG Booth. Please ensure you have [email protected] whitelisted! Thank you to those that mentioned the email announcement should also go on our Discord announcements in addition to being pinned in the #dygycon channel and DYGYCON Twitter.

NFT Auction

We hosted our first 3rd Party NFT auction from @splinterlands, our sponsors, and private sellers. This meant using different platforms to bid on the presented items.

Achievement Badges

Winners will get posted on our DYGYCON 9 event archive on the website. NFT Achievement Badges are getting minted and distributed this week as we closely review all submissions from Twitter! Here are the ones you could have been eligible to win:

Scavenger Hunt

Participants of the Scavenger Hunt will be reviewed and contacted to provide their NFT Achievement Badge. Crypto Shots sponsored our scavenger hunt and added a rare item into our prize pool along with an art commission raffle from @waffleskitty. The scavenger hunt is a great way to explore the space and have fun interacting with others around the metaverse.

We have sent out invitations to submit feedback! The summary of these responses are posted on the event archive on the website. We may be planning something special for our upcoming 10th anniversary event!

Highlights

Here are some personal experiences shared.

  • I was all over Dygycon once I got in. I got to talk to alot of people who I normally dont interact with becuse were all separated by Telegram and DIscord chats. This brought a bunch of us together without feeling chastised for looking around and checking out other collections. I added a few new collections to my wallet and learned so much from so many people. I cant wait until next year, I cant wait to take a bigger role in next Dygycon event and make it even bigger.- Getmossed

Improvement suggestions

  • games from hive! i want to play more games on hive!
  • More SWAG, customizations, competitive strategy games for prizes
  • Physical merch would be great, sold over the internet.
  • Clear idea of what I could do and what the options are for being able to fully enjoy the space.
  • NFT Art Gallery displaying real NFT art
  • more staff / volunteers helping out
  • More than 35 people per instance & Ability to mute / kick people as a creator
  • Game Demos, more interactivity, booth activates, more stuff for off hours attendees

DYGYCON 10 is in July

Our tentative dates for DYGYCON 10 run July 15-17, 2022. Please keep a look out for the upcoming RSVP link that will be posted on our Twitter and website once available.

We are planning on the upcoming DYGYCON events to happen on the dates below (subject to change) and we hope to see you then!

  • DYGYCON 11 - September 23-25
  • DYGYCON 12 - November 18-20
  • DYGYCON 13 - January 20-22
