Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge || My Battle With The LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR

Hello Friends. How are you all?

Today I'm back with this week's Battle of the Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. This week the Splinterlands gave a Battle Challenge with a Neutral Legendary Monster. However, I have never battled this monster. This is my first time renting a Level 3 monster for the Weekly Battle Challenge.

Battle Challenge Rules.

Splinterlands challenges all players to play with a specific monster each week. This challenge helps them to earn a vote from splinterlands or steemmonsters. To get a vote from splinterlands, a player has to follow the rules given by splinterlands. Every week splinterlands posts about the rules. Most of the rules remain the same; just the monster changes.

Let's Know About the Monster.

Name: LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Void Armor, Giant Killer, Demoralize, Deathblow

This is a helpful monster because of its abilities. It has the void armour ability, and for this ability, the magic attack can't damage its health as long the armour remains. The giant killer is also a great ability if the opponent team have any big mana-costing monster. It will hurt 2x if there is any 10+ mana-costing monster. The third ability is Demoralize. It reduces a melee attack from the opponent team. The last ability, deathblow, is also a great ability when the opponent has the last monster in his team.

Before the battle started, my Summoner increased the melee attack of all monsters in my party by one, and LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR and DISINTEGRATOR reduced the total of two melee attacks of the opposing monsters.

Also, the opposing Summoner reduced the speed ​​of all my monsters by one. But due to the speed reduction, I had an advantage.

My team's Chaos Dragon applied the Blind ability on opposing monsters, which increased the chance of attack misses.

• The opponent's GRUM FLAMEBLADE started the first attack. It hit LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR in my team's first position and reduced 2 Armor.

• LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR hit the opponent's GRUM FLAMEBLADE this time, destroying five armour.

• The opponent's SAND WORM failed to hit my team's DISINTEGRATOR.

• My team's CARNAGE TITAN hits the GRUM FLAMEBLADE with its Double Strike ability and drops a total of 8 health.

• CHAOS DRAGON hit TENYII STRIKER with its magic attack, reducing three health, and the surrounding monsters also reduced two health with Blast.

• TENYII STRIKER hit my team's DISINTEGRATOR and reduced 2 armor.

• The opponent's CARNAGE TITAN hit my team's LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR and reduced 2 armor.

• LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR then hit and killed the opponent's GRUM FLAMEBLADE. This is where LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR's Giant Killer ability came in handy.

• SAND WORM hit my team's DISINTEGRATOR and destroyed all its Armor.

• At this point my team's CARNAGE TITAN destroyed all Armor by hitting the opponent's CARNAGE TITAN.

• My team's CHAOS DRAGON hit the opponent's FORGOTTEN ONE for 3 health and killed TENYII STRIKER with blast ability.

• CARNAGE TITAN hit my team's LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR destroying armor and reducing 1 health.

• Opponent's CHAOS DRAGON hit my team's DISINTEGRATOR and reduced ELEMENTAL PHOENIX's health with blast ability.

• My team's ELEMENTAL PHOENIX reduced the health of the opponent's CARNAGE TITAN.

1: Did your strategy work?

• Yes, The Void Armor, Giant Killer, and Demoralize ability of the LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR help me a lot to win this match. Because of this monster, I just lost one monster in this battle.

2: What will you try differently next time?

• Yes, I used this monster with a different summoner. Some of them were successful, and some of unsuccessful. I have to say this is one of the great monsters in some battle rules.
