Welcome to this week's #Splinterlands "Share your battle" weekly challenge. This time the theme is DRAGONS!!!

I have 1 hand-picked battle to share with you and will first provide a general overview of my team.

Summoner

In order to play any dragons, you have to pick a dragon summoner who then lets you add a regular splinter on top of any dragon monsters you may have.

I happened to be renting a fairly strong legendary summoner and wanted to utilize her as much as possible to try and get some value out of the rental.

Byzantine Kitty eats up a good chunk of mana with 7 cost just for the summoner, but she comes with some serious abilities. +2 Speed, True Strike (can't miss), and Tank Heal (from the summoner).

Monsters

I ended up not selecting any Dragon monsters for this particular fight. Normally I have a few that I like to play, but I wanted to try something different for this battle and see how it played out. You will also learn that I could only use Commons and Rares due to the rule-set so that made me come up with this different tactic to try.

I decided to go with Earth to test out a strategy and my line-up for this battle was:

Level 3 Flesh Golem

Level 2 Regal Peryton

Level 3 Goblin Psychic

Level 1 Goblin Thief

Level 3 GF Sand Worm

Level 2 Mycelic Slipspawn

Renting a level 3 Flesh Golem provided me with tank that has self heal and putting Mycelic Slipspawn in the back gave me a taunt tank that could absorb a lot of enemy damage before they could change who they wanted to hit.

If it wasn't obvious, my strategy to test out in this fight was crazy heals on my main tank. I had a speed 3 self heal, speed 1 tank heal, and end of round summoner tank heal!

My enemy had a somewhat similar strategy by trying for Earth magic, a tank heal, and a taunt in the back. Their tank takes reduced damage from magic and they also brought in a monster with -1 melee damage... this could be an interested match.

The Result

If you didn't watch the battle yourself, then I will give a quick run down for you:

Both of our teams took down the opposite's Mycelic Slipspawn as expected. Then I managed to heal my tank often enough to keep it alive while my sneak attackers worked their way through the back line of the enemy. Taking out their healer was the only thing delaying our victory and sure enough a victory is how the battle ended!

Final Thoughts

I do enjoy using Dragon teams when I can. Most of the time I use Brighton Bloom who adds flying and costs a bit less mana, but it is a treat to rent and use Kitty from time to time. Djinn Chwala is a very good tank as well and there are a couple of other Dragon Monsters that are always worth considering.

Overall, Splinterlands is a great game to play and the fact that it is a #Play2Earn game makes it even better!

As usual, please consider following and liking the post, thanks!

I appreciate you stopping by and hope to see you again,
