Actual Political Spectrum
I certainly agree that the two parties in America are generally divided along a left-right divide, and it's true that most people who vote Democrat are to the left of most people who vote Republican. I also agree that the old, corporate, establishment wing of the Democratic party is dying off.
With that said, I think that we have a very different conception of the actual political spectrum, because there are few meaningful ways in which the modern Democratic Party can be said to represent "the left."
Also, I'm sorry but ultimately that is such a silly take. You don't even know what "communism" is. Communism is a classless, stateless, moneyless society. In what universe is MAGA communism, where the economic foundation of your movement is an obsession with capital and profit, in any way the same thing as communism???
And if the taxes are a result of "mismanaged boomer policy" what we need then is to change the way that taxes are levied because they're STILL being mismanaged... and that still isn't communism. Communism is not "any left-wing policy."
There's a huge amount of difference between the two, but I'd heavily disagree that "both are left." There's nothing left about conservative ideology, whether it's the neoliberalism of the Democratic Party or the far-right extremism of MAGA or even traditionalist conservatism.
By contrast, I do believe that socialism is far left. That's not to say that the Democratic Part is all bad. I'll vote them over MAGA in almost any election, for example, but there will need to be more to the solution than simple electoralism.
