Hello, Splinters Fanatics!

Another week has passed and we're back for another Battle Mage Secrets, a weekly challenge where several players share their strategies using a set of rules and their opponent's battle history.

This week, the Ruleset that will be analyzed is Taking Sides Basically, there aren't many secrets to this rule, just restrictions on cards that can't be used in battles.

Taking Sides
Neutral monsters cannot be used in battle.

Neutral cards are a kind of Curinga and can be used in any Splinter, but they have a slightly higher mana cost than other Splinters' cards for the same stats.

There are several Neutral cards that have a high usability in battle, using the website SplinterStats you can get a list of the Neutral cards most used in battle. **Doctor Blight, for example, is a card widely used in all leagues for its high versatility, which guarantees a high Win Rate.

As the Ruleset Taking Sides restricted the use of this card. The player feels naked because of the lack of these cards in his deck. That's why it's important to have a diverse card collection with various types of cards, so you don't run into problems with these restrictive rules.

The battle took place in the Silver League, in Morden mode, and featured the following Rule Set: Stampede and Taking Sides . In addition, the Fire, Water, Life and Dragon Splinters were available and there was 37 mana available.

My main north in this battle was the Ruleset Stampede , which led me to choose the Water Splinter Summoner, Possibilus The Wise, which is very favored with this Ruleset. Taking Sides is often not a factor in choosing the best Splinter, since a reasonable collection of cards overshadows this Rule. My opponent also thought along the same lines as me and used the same Summoner.

Below is my line-up strategy:

	In first position I drew Torrent Fiend as a discard card.
	In the second position, I drafted Diemonshark, the main tank who has a lot of Health and Armor.
	In the third position, I drafted Coastal Sentry, a secondary tank that is quite offensive.
	In the third position, Feasting Seaweed was chosen, a monster that possesses the Opportunity ability with reasonable melee damage but low health.
	In the next position, I drafted Deeplurker, a monster also with Melee damage and the Opportunity ability, which has reasonable damage.
	Finally, I drafted Pelacor Bandit, also with Melee damage, high speed, and the Sneak ability, in addition to Flying, which, combined with its speed, can evade some enemy attacks.

As you may have noticed, I focused on using only Melee damage cards to increase the synergy that the Stampede ruleset offers with the Trample ability that all monsters gain due to the Summoner Possibulus.

In the first round, it's possible to observe that the monster lineup, both mine and the opponent's, was almost identical, which indicates how intense this battle will be. The opponent had drafted Kulu Mastermind, who possesses an offensive melee attack and the Opportunity and Weapons Training abilities. The latter ability granted the adjacent card a Melee damage (2).

To be honest, the opponent's lineup was more intelligent than mine, as the monster Noa The Just reduced the armor of all my monsters by (-2), making it easier for our monsters to receive direct attacks.

In the second round, two monsters were annihilated on both sides, Pelacor Bandit and Torrent Fiend. Due to my opponent drafting Kulu Mastermind, they are in a significant advantage in this match.

Thanks to the consecutive Trample , our team managed to attack several times in a row, even in a disadvantaged position, which eliminated several of the opponent's monsters. This ensured our victory!

The Taking Sides* ruleset is a restrictive type that excludes Neutral Splinter cards from the collection during the battle. It may not make a significant difference, but it's essential to have a good collection.

Mais uma semana se passou estamos de volta para mais uma Battle Mage Secrets, um desafio semanal onde vários jogadores compartilham suas estratégias mediante um Conjunto de Regras e do historico de batalhas do adversário.

Nessa semana o Ruleset que será analisado é Taking Sides basicamente não muito segredo nessa regra, somente retrição de cartas que não podem ser utilizadas em batalhas.

As cartas neutras são uma espécie de Curinga e podem ser utilizada em qualquer Splinter, porém elas tem um custo de mana levemente maior do que as cartas dos demais Splinters para as mesmas estatísticas.

Como o Ruleset Taking Sides restringi o uso desta carta. O jogador se senti pelado pela falta que essas cartas fazem em seu baralho. Por isso, é importante possui uma coleção de cartas diversificada com vários tipos de cartas, para não ter problemas nessas regras restritivas.

A batalha aconteceu na Liga Prata, no modo Morden, e contou com o seguinte Conjunto de Regras: Stampede e Taking Sides . Além disso, os Splinters Fogo, Água, Vida e Dagrão estavam disponíveis e havia 37 de mana disponível.

Meu principal norte nesta batalha foi o Ruleset Stampede , que me induziu a escolher o Invocador do Splinter de Água, Possibilus The Wise, que é muito favorecido com este Conjunto de Regras. Taking Sides na grande maioria das vezes não é um fator decivo para escolher o melhor Splinter, uma vez que uma coleção razoável de cartas ofusca essa Regra. Meu oponente também pensou da mesma forma que eu e utilizou o mesmo Invocador.

Abaixo segue minha estratégia de escalação:

	Na terceira posição foi escalado Feasting Seaweed, um monstro que possui a habilidade Opportunity com dano Melee razoável, porém pouca Saúde.
	Na próxima posição, escalei Deeplurker um monstro também de dano Melee e habilidade Opportunity, que possui dano razoável.
	Por fim, escalei Pelacor Bandit também de dano Melee, que possui alta velocidade e a habilidade Sneak, além de Flying que em conjunto com sua velocidade pode fugir de alguns ataque inimigos.

Venha Conferir a Batalha!

Como você pode ter percebido eu foquei em só utilizar cartas de dano Melee, a fim de aumentar a sinergia que o conjunto de Regras Stampede oferece com a habilidade Trample que todos os monstros adquirem devido o Invocador Possibulus.

Na primeira rodada é possível observar que a escalação dos monstros, tanto meu como do oponente, foram quase iguais. O que mostra o quanto essa batalha será acirrada. O oponente havia esccalado Kulu Mastermind, que possui um ataque melee ofensivo e as habilidade Opportunity e Weapons Training, esta última habilidade concedeu a carta adjancente sem ataque (2) de dano Melee.

Sendo sincero, a escalação do oponente mais inteligente do que a minha, pois o mosntro Noa The Just reduziu a armadura de todos os meus monstro em (-2). Facilitando nossos monstros receberem ataques diretos.

Na segunda rodada, dois monstros foram aniquilados,em ambos os lados, Pelacor Bandit e Torrent Fiend. Por meu adversário ter escalado Kulu Mastermind ele esta em grande vantagem , nessa partida.

Devido aos Trample consecutivos nosso time conseguiu mesmo na desvantagem atacar várias vezes consecutivas, que eliminou vários monstros do adversários. Que garantiu a nossa vitória!

O Ruleset Taking Sides é do tipo restritivo, que exclui as cartas do Splinter Neutro da coleção durante a batalha. Não é uma regra que faça alguma diferença, mas é preciso que você tenha uma boa coleção.
