Hello Splinter Fanatics!

With the announcement of the arrival of the Rebellion Edition I believe that many players were excited about the future increase in new cards, abilities, and even gameplay. I can assure you that I was very excited about all the new features, this new edition really won't be more of the same.

I've always dreamed that the battles in Splinterlands would have an additional layer of gameplay. Like adding a skill or buffing/debuffing a monster during the match, through Spell cards. And frankly, my dream will come true with the arrival of the Rebellion Edition.

However, there is one thing that frustrates me, and that is the departure of the Untamed Edition from the Modern format to Wild. At first glance, this rotation may seem positive, as new strategies and combo goals will emerge in both formats.

The Untamed edition has very powerful Summoners and Monsters and because it has a relatively smaller number of cards than the Chaos Legions edition, they are often more expensive. This makes buying these cards a less attractive option for players.

Who hasn't used the famous legendary summoners Yodin Zaku, Scarred Llama Mage or Byzantine Kitty? They are extremely powerful summoners, some say they are hacker summoners.

They are cards with a high Win Rate in all leagues, when there is an opportunity to use them. The famous Scarred Llama Mage + Kron The Undyng combo or a variation of it, which was always used when there was 17 mana available, always won matches.

I have a few Untamed cards in my collection, because when I started playing Splinterlands it was the last Edition with cheaper cards than the Alpha and Beta Editions. However, what annoys me is that the older editions have been pushed aside and even forgotten by many players.

Due to the separation and the way the Modern and Wild formats are designed, unfortunately the older cards lose their value. When I joined Splinterlands, there were several bonus mechanisms that made older cards more valuable. They have higher Collection Power compared to newer cards, and using Alpha and Beta cards gives you a boost in rewards from ranked battles.

However, since the separation of ranked matches and the annulment of the Colection Power requirement. This bonus for the older cards has practically ceased to exist, so these cards are less and less in demand by players. I remember that when I started playing, everyone said that the Splinterlands team valued the older cards.

However, that's not exactly the case: older cards end up being forgotten by players and become less liquid on the market. However, there are other ways in which these older cards can be used, such as in Tournaments, Brawls and, in the future, Lands.

With the announcement of the arrival of the Rebellion Edition, many players holding Untamed cards immediately began to discard them. Naturally, demand for these cards will unfortunately fall. As a result, the majority of Untamed cards will fall in price, some of them by as much as 50% off their already falling prices.

And that's down to the way the Wild and Modern formats are designed. Perhaps this problem could be solved if there were two formats: "Wild == Bots" and "Modern == No Bots", but then the older cards would become more valuable, and consequently players' collections would be more expensive to acquire. Which is something the team certainly doesn't want.

Com o anuncio da chegada da Edição Rebellion acredito que muitos jogadores ficaram animados com o futuro incremento de novas cartas, habilidades, e até mesmo jogabilidade. Posso te garantir que eu fiquei bastante animado com todas as novidades, realmente essa nova edição não será mais do mesmo.

Sempre sonhei que as batalhas em Splinterlands tivesse uma camada de jogabilidade adicional. Como adicionar alguma habilidade ou buffar/debuffar em um monstro durante a partida, através de cartas Spell. E sinceramente meu sonho se tornará realidade com a chegada da Edição Rebellion.

Enfim, há uma série de novidades com a chegada das cartas Rebellion e todas elas são bastante animadoras. Para mais detalhes sobre a chegada da Edição Rebellion acesse The Rebellion is coming.

Porém, há algo que me deixa bastante frustado, a saída da Edição Untamed do formato Modern para Wild. Essa rotatividade, a primeira vista pode até parecer positiva, pois surgirão novas estratégias e combo metas, em ambos os formatos.

A edição Untamed possui Invocadores e Monstros muito poderosos e por ter um número de cartas relativamente menor que a edição Chaos Legions são muitas das vezes mais caras. O que torna a aquisição dessas cartas uma opção menos atrativas entres os jogadores.

Quem nunca utilizou os famosos invocadores lendários Yodin Zaku, Scarred Llama Mage ou Byzantine Kitty. São invocadores extremamente poderosos, há quem diga que são invocadores hackers.

São cartas com Win Rate alta em todas as ligas, quando há oportunidade de utilizá-las. O famoso combo Scarred Llama Mage + Kron The Undyng ou variação deles, que sempre era utilizado quando havia 17 de mana disponível, sempre ganhava as partidas.

Eu possuo algumas cartas Untamed em minha coleção, pois quando comecei a jogar Splinterlands essa era a última Edição com cartas mais baratas, que as Edição Alpha e Beta. Porém, o que me deixa chateado é que as edição mais antigas elas são colocadas de lados e até esquecidas por vários jogadores.

Devido a separação e a forma como esta desenhada os formatos Modern e Wild, infelizmente as cartas mais antigas perdem seu valor. Quando entrei em Splinterlands haviam vários mecanismos de bonificação que faziam com que as cartas mais antigas fossem valorizadas. Elas possuem Colection Power superior em comparação com as cartas mais novas, além disso utilizar cartas Alpha e Beta fazem você ter um acrescimo nas recompensas de batalhas ranquedas.

Porém, depois que houve a separação de partidas ranquedas e a anulação da exigem de Colection Power. Essa bonificação das cartas mais antigas praticamente deixaram de existir, então essas cartas são cada vez menos demandas pelos jogadores. Eu lembro que quando comecei a jogar todo mundo falava que a equipe Splinterlands prezava pela valorização das cartas mais antigas.

Porém, não é exatamente isso que ocorre as cartas mais antigas acabam sendo esquecidas pelos jogadores e tornam-se menos líquidas no mercado. Embora, existam outras modalidades onde essas as cartas mais antigas tem utilidades como em Torneios, Brawls e futuramente nas Lands.

Com o anúncio da chegada da Edição Rebellion muitos jogadores detentores de cartas Untamed imediatamente começaram a se desfazer dessas cartas. Pois, naturalmente a demanda sobre essas cartas infelizmente cairão. Com isso a maioria das cartas Untamed cairão de preço chegando algumas delas a cerca de 50% de queda, dos preços que já estavam em queda.

E isso é culpa de como está desenhado os formatos Wild e Modern. Talvez esse problema fosse contornado se houve dois formatos: "Wild == Bots" e "Modern == No Bots", porém dessa forma as cartas mais antigas se tornariam mais valorizadas, e consequentemente as coleções dos jogadores seriam teriam custo de aquisição mais alto. Que certamente é algo que a equipe não deseja.
