DEC prices have crossed 0.01 USD per DEC!

So I saw something interesting today when I went to buy a Djinn Chwala.

Yep. You read that right. DEC prices have finally appreciated to the point where for 215 DEC I can but something thats costs $2.16 USD. Obviously this is great for players since coupled with the increased DEC rewards from battles, its given us greater purchasing power right?

Yeah.. About that.

It looks like most prices across the board have also increased to compensate for these changes though not all of them are moving equally. Comparing with their end of season prices, which is normally more expensive, Torhilo for example, rose from $13 to to $18, lobstradamus from $40 to $52 (it actually crossed $80 last night, though i think thats just someone buying everything) and don't even get me started on some of the changes to gold foil prices. Even basic commons like harvesters, charlok minotaurs, and nightmares are 9 USD or more.

So what does that mean for regular people?

Personally I think this might be the best time to buy some of the lower costed cards if you've been eyeing them. especially chaos legion cards. Their prices in USD have hardly shifted, if at all, so they have theoretically become even cheaper to buy with DEC. If you ever need more incentive to move to bronze 1 or silver and above, here's your chance. since 14 dec victories are basically 0.15-0.16 USD per win now.

For those of a more speculative mindset, buying up gold foils or out of print cards might be worthwhile to ride on the increasing prices. The appreciation in DEC prices are unlikely to override the changes to regular price increases, so you'll still get a profit when you sell them off in the future, and it also will serve as a hedge against falling DEC prices since you'll be able to get more DEC when you sell it later rather than just watching your purchasing power decrease. (so long as their prices in USD dont crash as well)

Bear in mind, this is probably due to Chaos Legion and its presale, so unless we get confirmation on whether vouchers have use beyond the presale packs, DEC prices will likely become more volatile after the presale.
