Share Your Battle Time! Goblin Shaman Edition!

G'day everyone, it's time for another share your battle and one that I genuinely struggled with. This week's theme is.. oh you've seen the title. It's the shaman!

Stats

The goblin shaman is honestly kinda interesting. Ability wise, its a hp debuffer, removing 1 max HP. But what's curious about it is its stats. At lvl 3 it gains 1 magic attack but loses 1 speed and 1 HP. This does make it alot more dangerous, for sure, but do keep it safe when facing anything with snipe. 4 hp will save you alot better than 3.

Personally though, I don't really play fire much, and when I do, I tend to have a full melee comp, trying to squeeze as much in to the point I don't have space for this.

Well, there's no kill like overkill, so for this challenge I figured why not? let's go nuts and rented... well, you'll see.

Still Cheaper To Rent Than Yodin

38 Mana with Reverse Speed and Everything always hits rulesets. Wonder if my opponent got a shock from seeing this.

Summoner Choice: The correct option here would normally be Pyre, but since this is reverse speed, I decided to change my game plan and use Malric instead.

The original plan here was for Caladuum to be in first position and the fourth slot would be taken by Elemental Pheonix, but Reverse Speed forced me to change plans sadly, since the pheonix has 5 speed.

Strategy and positioning wise, I was aware that everything was guarenteed to hit, so I just tried to put as much HP in the way as possible before my main magic lineup got into the fray. I did make a mistake in my lineup though, the Naga should be in the back to protect against sneak. Fortunately there was no sandworm present.

Round 1

Pretty much everything is still alive, albeit barely. Bone Golem and Living Lava both did a good job in reducing incoming damage.

Round 2

Goblin Shaman's ability helped alot here, allowing me to kill the bone golem using Naga before the shaman died. Letting me deal extra damage to the haunted spirit.

Its interesting to note that reverse speed also reverses the order of attack for same speed and attack style units. Whereas normally caladuum would attack before the naga since its legendary, here it is the reverse.

Round 3

Haunted Spirit went down without a fight and the Bonesmith can no longer gain HP from its life leech as Caladuum has void. By this point the fight is basically over as my opponent was lacking damage.

That said, he very nearly killed Caladuum, leaving it at 1 HP. If you want to see the battle yourself, here is the replay link.

Thanks For Reading!

Do leave an upvote if you enjoyed! Running around with fire magic units and a bunch of legendaries was definitely fun and somehow still cost less than the 80+ DEC needed for Yodin. If you wanna try out the game for yourself, you can do so via my referral link! I also stream non-splinterlands stuff on Twitch if you're interested in that.

Have a Nice Day!
