Lir might have had an ordinary life, marrying a young girl from the Archipelago and aspiring to summon in the great arena of Mount Mox. But it seems the forces of the sea had other plans for the young man.

As the great waves of the storm grew, rocking the ship back and forth, Lir tripped among the ropes of the anchor line and became entangled. When the ship finally capsized and succumbed to the waves, Lir, along with the heavy anchor, was dragged into the dark depths.

In most situations, being thrown into the water would not be a hindrance to a summoner from the water school, especially one as young and strong as Lir.
