How to Buy BNB using DEC and Transfer to MetaMask

Today, I've attempted to tansfer out some of my DEC earnings to MetaMask so I can convert it into a real money by selling BNB via Binance's P2P service.

The Problem

However, I've just found out that when you want to swap DEC to BNB in MetaMask, it will cost you some gas fee in the process and in this case you need to have some BNB token in your wallet. Holy ooze! Where can I get BNB?

When you click the Review Swap button shown in the image above, you'll see another form as shown in the image below. In my case, the Swap button is now enabled. At first, the Swap button was disabled because I don't have any BNB in my MetaMask wallet.

Just Calm Down, Let's Solve it!

To address this problem, I've made some research and came up with the following solution.

1. Take note of the swap cost, then go to https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dark-energy-crystals/bnb and check how much DEC you need for the swap (DEC to BNB)
2. Transfer out DEC to Hive Engine Wallet. Now, go to your Hive Engine Wallet https://hive-engine.com/?p=balances&a=yoursplinterlandsusername
3. Sell your transferred out DEC token to obtain SWAP.HIVE token
4. Buy SWAP.BNB token using your obtained SWAP.HIVE token
5. Click the grey Withdraw button in your Hive Engine wallet at the top of the page. Enter your MetaMask address correctly in the textbox highlighted in the image below. Just wait for the transaction to complete for some time. Congratulations!
