My Third Season in Splinterlands: Reaching the Silver League

Another season has come to an end and all the players received their end of season reward chests from days of grinding and reaching higher leagues in the game.

This is my third season in playing Splinterlands. As a new player, my set goal is to reach higher in the bronze league while learning about the happenings in the game, however, I am quite overwhelmed to reach in the silver league.

In my days of playing in this season, I sometimes win without actually battling the opponent. Some are bots where they show only one or two with no relation to the specific mana cap leading for me to reach the rating to reach in Silver. Also, with the last announcement in the change of rewards, staying in the bronze league is not worth it in my part unless I want to be in the leader boards so I decided to try my luck to reach and play in the silver league.

Playing in the silver league is quite challenging using the starter cards given by owning a spell book and few owned ones but thanks to the rule set, I sometimes win my battles. What I like about playing in higher leagues is the rewards given in the daily quest. Sometimes I get a 1 DEC from the daily quest rewards.

With the advice of different players from different social media community sites, I bought additional cards from my grinding for extra power when the market listings are still low. I also joined some raffles and giveaways, winning some of them and earning some delegation power. I also tried my luck in renting cards for the collection power to reach the Silver 1 end of season rewards but to no avail, got cancelled so I just stayed in Silver 2 just to be safe.

By the end of the season, I received mostly cards, two of them having to be rare cards and a few potions and DEC.

I would say that this season is truly profitable for me and I can't wait for the next season with the new packs included. I hope I can buy a few packs given that I only staked few SPS.

Special thanks to the Splinterlands community on twitch for giving entertaining streams and giving advice and delegations to us new players.

Here are some of the twitch streamers for you to follow courtesy of the Splinterlands #NoSleepGang Community.

Have a great day everyone and welcome to the new season.

Hey man. Great post. I would like to know, how much DEC u have invested to be eligible to Silver II compared to your card Power. I just came to play one month ago and I am not sure if it's worth the rental. I stayed in bronze II and received few chests ans some credits💩. When did u rent the cards? Beginning of season? Do u think it's worth the DEC spent? Which cards did u rent and at what price? Ty in advance!

By the way, I am also trying to create good content as u do, if you would mind to have a read and some promotion would be very welcome!

Good day. The cost of my rentals is more or less between 300 DEC. Some are delegations given by other players. I think I just got lucky for this season because I'm also in bronze 2 last season. In my rentals I mostly look for cards which have great power but cheap price but I don't play some of them. It is understandable that if it has higher power for a cheap price, there is a chance that your rent will be cancelled before the end of season. You can look it in peakmonsters.com. To be safe in the power rent, I usually rent 16 hours before the end of season for a day rental. For my cards, I invested some of my extra money and bought a few cards when they were cheap like the latest gold foils. Hope this helps.

Ty for the quick answer mate! So u spent 300 DEC to jump form BRII to Silver II in one day? That 300 DEC refer to one day renting? Or u decided to stay in Silver? Ty very much in advance!

Yes. I got lucky for some of my rentals because they are somewhat cheap. You can look in my cards in baronstoolbox.com to see my rented cards. This season, if I can reach a rating for Silver, I will grind first to rent cards for a day in Silver then grind in the Silver league until I have an amount of DEC equal to the rented power for the End of season.
