Greetings to everyone in the community.

Once again bringing to the community the weekly challenge of Splinterlands, one of the NFT games in which I have a lot of confidence and pleasure to play. This week's theme, monster brought from the Splinter of Water element, the imposing Spineback Turtle, a monster with a great capacity for battle, being part of this incredible splinter which has very brutal combinations and I usually apply sometimes, I hope you enjoy my battle which is also extremely interesting.

Highlights of "Spineback Turtle".

Imposing and powerful are the words that define this water card, a first position tank, excellent to deploy on the battlefield to resist all the blows that are necessary as the first line of defense to protect those behind it. This monster with a robust body and resistant armor allows us to use it in different ways, which is very good since its eyes yearn for victory, which we will give it with the battle in which we achieve the goal of winning it. Taken from the depths of the deepest sea, !we will bring out the full potential of Spineback Turtle.!

My Battle

On this occasion, the choice of my opponent did not turn out as I expected, since he was playing with magic cards I decided to reduce his magic attack power by -1 point using the summoner Bortus, which does exactly that but it did not turn out as I expected, but well these are things that happen, now talking about the battle as such, you can see that the monster of the challenge Spineback Turtle is located firmly in first position ready for the battle working as an iron defense, having at my disposal also a regular amount of cards to execute the best damage ignoring the shields, there are my magic attack cards with basic power points, but these with agility superior to that of my enemy were enough to eliminate them and get the victory.

It is also worth noting that I used two cards that were essential for me, one of them heals my monster in the first position and the other gives a shield bonus to my monsters.

My Battle Rules

Mana: 24

Standard: This battle rule is the simplest and most basic of the whole game, where all kinds of abilities and cards can be used.

Alignment

Bortus
Following the theme of turtles, as a summoner my choice was the great Bortus, possessor of a trident and lamp in addition to an ability that although not impressive can decide the victory or defeat of a battle, as this reduces by -1 the enemy's magical attack, the reason for my choice was simple, since my enemy was using magic attack cards, I could sense that he would continue with the same attack pattern, so I chose to eliminate a certain percentage of the damage he could cause me using Bortus, which although it was not as expected, it is better to cover all the possibilities to have a better Winrate.

Spineback Turtle
It's time to show how powerful this monster is, now that the rules were established and it's time to choose the formation, it's normal for me to think of a powerful and resistant tank or at least with some of these two characteristics, that's where the role of this great turtle comes in, with 6 points of life and 2 of shield this is a monster in a first position perfect to use due to the great resistance that this has to both magical and physical attacks, in turn, has 1 point of melee attack and as expected of a turtle 1 point of speed, which although it is not the most powerful or the fastest did its job perfectly.

Furious Chicken
This is practically a card that I use in most cases in which I need to have a "wall of last defense" to call it away, without attack, defense, and only 1 insignificant point of life, this angry bird is placed in the second position to protect those who are behind her so that you can get at least one more attack with her sacrifice as we all know that an attack can be the key to victory.

Ruler of The Seas
One of the rulers of the ocean, with a great presence worthy of a king, this deadly monster rises from the sea throwing rays of magic with a decent power of about 2 points, accompanied by his ability "Blast", which does damage to the monsters in adjacent squares to the target, not satisfied with this also has 3 points of speed which is extremely well because with only 1 attack could run monsters in their first turn and do damage to the poor unwary that are in its path.

Venari Wavesmith
When I was talking about my battle, I mentioned the importance of two cards in my strategy, because this is one of them, with a scientific appearance this card has a very strong ability called "Protect" which gives *2 shield points to each allied monster on the battlefield which was great to boost the survival of the same and since my opponent chose to use only physical attacks, it was perfect to place this monster, besides this monster has 1 point of magic attack and 3 life, which makes it can survive a few rounds.

Merdaali Guardian
The second card I mentioned above, a beautiful guardian which has no aptitude for battle, as it has no attack or defense and only has 3 health points. But not everything in a strategy is the attack, the ability of this card is essential because it heals the monster in the first position which is often the tank or strongest card, which causes it to have more chances to survive in battle.

Ice Pixie
Arriving at the last position we find the weak and fragile Ice Pixie, a little ice pixie with only 1 point of life in her ability and 1 equal point in magic attack, this little girl was my choice to place at the end since she did not have much mana and depending on the attack performed on her her "Flying" ability gives her better chances to dodge the attacks giving her the opportunity to attack back.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Apart from the case in which my summoner was not as useful as I wanted it to be at the beginning, the rest of my strategy worked perfectly, executing accurate, powerful, and fast hits fiercely eliminating the enemy lines to achieve victory, Spineback Turtle did its job as a tank wonderfully and was not even eliminated throughout the battle.

For future occasions, I plan to perhaps place it in the second position as a support tank and support for weaker cards in third or fourth position for example.

Do you like Spineback Turtle, why or why not?

Honestly, I loved this card, it is extremely efficient for the position in which it is cast, which is the tank, it seems to me that we can vary its use in battle to give better results or simply to experiment, although it is extremely slow and does not have a very powerful attack if it has a strong and solid defense to be feared.
