My Hive Challenges And Possible Solutions

avatar

Hello everyone,
Happy Sunday to you all and welcome once again to My blog. It's a beautiful Sunday evening and I would like to share my challenges on hive

First hive blockchain is a social media platform that has gain its popularity over the years a place where bloggers and content creators share their social ideas and eaen crypto as reward, hiev as a social media place has a lot of benefits and challenges faced by blogger I would like to share my as well

Low Initial Visibility.

This is one of the most common challenges of every blogger on hive when I joined the Hive blockchain my first introduction post I didn't gain a good support maybe because my post was not properly structured and from there I started struggling with invisibility. But not until I started engaging on others people post by making comments making friends, that was how I gain support from friends, and a good support was from the #splinterlands weekly contest initiative I normally participate in was how I was able to grow my HP fast to this level without a single power up.

My Content Quality and Consistency

Initially it was difficult for me to put up a quality post. I never liked writing and I never intend to do anything relating to writing but not until I came into hive and I started to build capacity in my writing skills. Before now I find it difficult to write anything crypto related because of how bulky and crypto is but now even if I am not an expert in that inch but I have grown from where I was before to a better level and that has only been at through help of consistency. you get to know how to write better by writing and by Reading. I have discovered that to grow here in hive consistency is one of the keys. For some month now I have been trying to write daily even with my busy academic calendar. I still find time during my free period to write.

Navigating on the Hive Ecosystem

Before now I was too busy trying to engage myself in so many communities and it was a whole lot of stress for me, joining one contest and another. I was not able to understand some of the apps and tokens. Hive is a complex platform when I realized I was searching for my favorite nich and decided to stay where I fit in better.

Conclusion

Hive is a social media platform where bloggers have many advantages and at the same time challenges. In order to overcome these challenges one must be dedicated and consistently engage hive. By having an open mind to learn, build good relationships with others and be updated about news on the platform.

I know about low initial visibility. I used Actifit to start because the community upvotes even lower quality posts as long as you have 10000 steps in the app. Only good for. 1 to .2hp per post and if not consistent no chance of curation with obd curator.... but be regular and start making better posts the curators notice over time.

Of course hivelearners is better because there are regular prompts and your guaranteed at least one person will read it 😉

I also used actifit but I stopped because I was not able to use the actifit point

If it were just about AFIT tokens I'd never recommend Actifit either. However, its about more than that.

An Actifit post pays about 50AFIT tokens daily which is about 3 Naira. You'd be crazy to bother for 3 Naira. If you use boost you can increase that to 200AFIT daily or about 12 Naira. I doubt many Nigerians would be interested in putting in hard work posting for only 12 Naira.

However it is important to remember that the Actifit account upvotes ALL posts with 5000 steps or more. The Actifit account also has a curation trail associated with it.

What does that mean

Every actifit post is going to get 15 or more upvotes. Total value about 0.12Hive of which 0.06Hive goes to the user as Hive Power.

Again...why bother with so little?

When I was a new user I was scraping every HP I could get so I'd have enough Resource Credits to actually make posts. I couldn't afford making a post that may not get any upvotes because I had no presence on Hive. Even that little amount added up to the point where I could actually make better posts in better communities (like #HiveLearners)

But there is another lesser known benefit from Actifit.

Those 15 votes from the Actifit curation trail are typically from people with 65+ reputation and Actifit itself is 70+. Getting those 15 upvotes every day meant that my reputation rose from base to 50 fairly quickly.

It took a month or so but Actifit helped me get my first few HP and boosted my reputation which were important when I ventured elsewhere.

But there is a final benefit.

Once you have been in the Actifit community for a while. You continually write quality posts (5 pictures, 300 words, keep it interesting) and your reputation rises in the community then the OCD curator lends its support.

The OCD curator is a $10 upvotes (vs Lazy Panda which is about $4). I keep on going because that boost from the OCD curator comes about once a week and adds nicely to my HP.

Indeed for the Nigerian community getting 4 x $10 upvotes a month could be a nice little boost to their HIVE earnings. Especially since Actifit posts are way easier than HiveLearner ones :)

Just my quick thought. However, I'll recommend ANY Hive user that is just starting off to join Actifit. It may be terrible for making friends and feeling the community but it is EXCELLENT for getting a little HP to get going, a little reputation boost, and get in the habit of daily posting.

A little more exercise doesn't hurt either :)

Thanks for reading.
