Why I have trust issues

Hello everyone,
welcome to my blog once again and to another beautiful week and another addition of the #hiveghana weekly contest and it's my pleasure to also share my thoughts on the very interesting topics.

The reason why most people find it difficult to trust people is because of past experiences of betrayal, disappointment and deception. Some people fight with insecurity, lack of self esteem, the fear of being that same person that was vulnerable again.
Trust for me is the bedrock of a healthy relationship whatever their relationship is with an intimate relationship professional social relationship it is being built on trust. And why grappling with trust issues is because of the act of betrayal.

I have been betrayed by people I trusted the most in my life, I have had personal and business relationships with people and at the end of it I was deeply hurt. We tend to trust people because we love them, sometimes we don't even see the need to doubt whatever they say, we just blindly believe them because of the love we have for them. But at some point in the relationship we get to find out that all this while we have been deceived and lied to. sometimes people we trusted a lot will let us down without any tangible reasons. This has made me become reluctant to myself, I don't easily open up, I don't want to be vulnerable again, I'm just me.

I don't expect much from people this days, I just take people as they are nothing much, if I'm building any relationship my heart is already made up for disappointed and betrayal because by now I'm use to it, I don't feel bad anymore when people fail because I have seen it happening to me before so it not something new or surprised to me. Some people think I'm not emotional towards people that why I people can hurt me and I won't feel, but they don't understand I have structured myself not to be carried away by people actions, words they only person I trust so much is myself, every other person can and may fail me and it is expected of them and for me I don't have to kill myself rather I don't trust much.
