Hello fellas, hows your life out there? Today I would like to share with you what I'm been doing this past days in my free time. So I created a fan-art of this Hill Giant from @splinterlands Earth Unit. Its my third fan-art for a the small mana tank monster cards my previous fan-arts are Antoid Platoon and the Cruel Sethropod, small mana tank monsters are very useful when it comes to budgetarian mana cap. Below are my process for this piece, I hope you will like it.
Lore:
| Hill Giants live in the Talus Bluffs on the outskirts of the volcano known as the Mountain of Ash. They are nomadic people that travel from hilltop to hilltop following herds of deer and cattle. Though they are intimidating, Hill Giants are typically more far more inquisitive of other cultures and seek to learn from them rather than attack. However, if they need to defend themselves, they attack by ripping boulders from the ground and are able to hurl them up to a mile. The people of Praetoria are glad to have them on their side against the Chaos Legion. |

Process:
First as always, I sketch it on a piece of paper after that I scanned it and save it to JPEG file.
| After that I import the JPEG file to Adobe Illustrator, and in that application I did the line-art. |
| Now I stated to put the base colors, using Adobe Photoshop, every part or every colors are different layers. |
After I add the base colors, I follow the shading process, for this process I used dark and lighter shading for convincing output, I don't use fading shading as you can notice.
| Then a minimal highlights, just to flex some part of his muscles. |
The next thing is, giving the tree it's textures, I used wetbrush persists.
| Adding the tree leaves are easy on photoshop because of the brush persists you can make or download from internet, but I created mine. |
After I brushed all the leaves, I added a layer again for the leaves shadows reflecting to his skin, again I used the Leaves Brush Persists, and Wet Brushes for the rock's textures
| Lastly making the art's background, I just saved PNG file then import in on the same file, then stretched it as big as possible, |
And it looks like this 😊.
You made to the end I hope that presentation catch your interests. I would like to thank you for reading this stuff, I really appreciate it.
Nice one, bro. I really !LUV it. Question lang: Why do you have to draw it first on paper when you can draw using an app already to shorten the process?
