ANTI-HEAL

Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. How are you all doing Splinters? Hope you are all doing great. For todays Splinterlands Social Media Challenge I will be talking about my epic battle in my recent wild tournament.
Heal is one of the most powerful ability in Splinterlands. In my four years of playing of Splinterlands Life Element may have the most healing ability of all, maybe that is why it is called "Life Element". I was a big fan of Life, but lately it has change since the introduction of Lorkus. Its just so hard to match his life leech and affliction with the Lifes heal ability. That is why my post is all about the Affliction or the anti-heal. Lets take a look on affliction and heal ability.
![]() | Affliction | 50% chance to apply Afflicted after a successful attack. Afflicted units cannot be healed.
![]() | Triage | Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied backline unit that has taken the most damage.
![]() | Tank Heal | Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position.
This is where the Affliction comes in to prevent the enemy card from healing or sustain.

Lets have a look in my battle using anti heal. This is wild format tournament thats why you can see wild cards.

this is round one after applying tactics ability, since the modifier is fog of war I granted the affliction to my last two cards. While my enemy use the triage and scavenger ability to his gladius card, his tank at the front has also triage, meriput magician is also at his line up with tank heal ability and the most clever move is he put a unit with taunt and void ability. Having two triage that will heal this unit, not to mention the void which will minimise its damage recieve from magic into half, this battle is a tough one for me if my anti heal will not apply in quickest possible time.

This is round two, well luck favors me in battle as you can see affliction applied already in round 1, but my tank will die here in round 2. But still, affliction now changes the game, triage is useless now.

At the beggining of round 3 we both had 1 unit dead, the game was now reverse and he is at disadvantage, the only threat he have is the gladius card.

At round 4, its already clear that I will win this battle. Then come round 5 and all of his team will be gone.
The enemy has a very good line up, If i had those cards in my deck I would probably have use it as well. But as the title suggest, anti heal, was the key to my victory and of course some luck as well.
One tip I can give about affliction is it can be counter by cleanse ability.
