Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Paths to Power

Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. How are you all doing Splinters? Hope you are all doing great.

On my last post I mentioned that I was kinda stuck in Gold 1 and struggling to step into Diamond League, but guess what?! Now I am at Diamond, even better was able to reach Diamond 2💪! The nice thing about advancing league is the rewards we get. This league is a high level game, lots of max level cards and unexpected combo can be seen. We need a lot of collection power and strategy.

And speaking of power, this weeks Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is all about Path To Power. First of all I would like to point out that Splinterlands weekly challenge is a nice way that brings the community united. Yes we are battling everyday and face each other and flex it here in community, but we set it aside to give way to share the strategy we used in battle. That way, we learn from each other.

My path to power in Splinterlands, well, I would like to say that I am just a small player here in Splinterlands, but I am trying to be consistent on building my deck every week with few additional cards or upgrade. Splinterlands evolves from just a card game, land is now growing and being part of how the game is shaping the future. I have nothing against it, in fact if I can have the ability to have a land I will, but I am focus on the PvP side of Splinterlands as of now. But if I can have both sides and have it all productive then I will choose both.

In Splinterlands, what we need to play the game are cards and staked SPS. Cards can be acquired through packs or in third party market like peakmonster, while SPS is also available in game or in can be bought from Crypto Exchange. There is a lot of way actually how to bring SPS into game if someone has knowledge in crypto.

I personally choose to build deck or card collection over SPS. Both has the advantage over each other, so if a player can afford to have both then I will advise to do that. Here are some reasons:

• SPS staking is the way to determine how we are rewarded in winning battle.

• SPS staking gives us passive income, we earn everyday from its APR in the form of SPS and Voucher.

• Voucher is profitable, we can buy promo card, they are one of the most good cards that Splinterlands release. The price of promo cards seems steady unlike other cards that decline in value.

• SPS can now also be rented, that means aside from the APR we can also get revenue from rentals in the form of DEC.

I would also like to mention Rewards Card are a very helpful way on my path to power to Splinterlands. I have a max level Common and Rare Rebellion Rewards Card that really helps me a lot in todays modern rank. Now that Conclave Arcana Rewards card are still on going, I hope I can get max all rarity this time. But of course it will not be easy. We have to earned it. We have to battle for it. That is why aside from my owned cards that I was able to slowly accumulate, I am renting other cards to boost my performance. One of the biggest help are renting high level Archons, that way I will be able to use the max level cards that I already have in my deck. It helps me to climb up in rank and earn rewards. Earning Glint as much as possible is my goal to buy and max out Conclave Rewards Card. This is free already, so my funds can just go buying the Core Set. My current card collection value is just around $200 to $300.

I think ut doesn't include the rewards card because they are not unbind. It only shows the core cards that I bought from the market. I am far from having a strong deck, but I am inspired more than ever to play. No comparison to all the previous rank but I like how todays modern rank is going. There is no hype now, we get the real value of what we put in. Lets build asset in Splinterlands that can make our future in the game much better.
